How to prepare a healing decoction
It is prepared using different raw materials, for this they use:
- dried grass;
- fresh stems and leaves;
- wormwood roots.
To prepare a basic decoction, take half a spoonful of dried herbs or a full spoonful of fresh herbs. The raw materials are poured with a glass of boiling water, placed on the stove and simmered over low heat for 20 minutes.
A decoction for enemas is made in a similar way, only the number of ingredients changes - 4 tablespoons of raw materials are taken per liter of water.
To make a decoction from the root, take 2 tablespoons of the crushed dry underground part, pour a glass of boiling water and cook over low heat for 10-15 minutes with the lid closed (so that most of the healing esters do not evaporate). Strain the cooled broth and it is ready for use.
The herb tarragon, another name for tarragon, has some similar properties . The medicinal plant increases urine flow, expels worms, relieves inflammation, relieves pain, and improves food digestion. This type of herb can be used in combination with wormwood to relieve painful symptoms.

Natural medicines from Chernobyl
To improve appetite three times a day, half an hour before meals, it is useful to drink a teaspoon of wormwood wine. Medicinal wine is prepared from 3-5 tablespoons of chopped herbs and half a glass of 40% alcohol. The ingredients are mixed and left for 24 hours. Then add 1 liter of white wine and leave overnight. In the morning, strain and can be consumed.
Wormwood tincture retains all the healing properties of the herb. But most often this medicine is used for diseases of the digestive system. In particular, with diarrhea, abdominal pain, indigestion. Prepare the tincture as follows. Fill the bottle with young leaves of grass and add alcohol. Leave in a warm place for a week, then strain. The strength of the finished tincture can be reduced by adding water to it. For severe diarrhea, take this medicine one tablespoon every 3 hours. In other cases, it is enough to consume 1 tablespoon per day.
And here is another popular recipe for Chernobyl tincture, which herbalists advise drinking a tablespoon 2-3 times a day to cleanse the blood and for stomach upsets. In a vessel put 3 dry branches of wormwood, 5 St. John's wort inflorescences with leaves, 1 geranium leaf, 8 black pepper grains, 10 raisins, 10 g of green tea, 1 tablespoon of honey and a liter of vodka. Close the vessel, wrap it in cloth and place in a pan of hot water for 2 hours. Then the mixture is infused for a week, after which it is filtered through several layers of gauze.
Relief of menstrual pain
Wormwood helps to relax the uterus and relieve any cramping associated with it. There is also limited evidence that moxibustion can reduce both the frequency and severity of hot flashes associated with menopause.
Application in oncology
There is limited evidence that some types of mugwort may be effective in treating cancer. However, the results of a 2013 study show that California mugwort's cell-killing ability extends to both normal human cells and cancer cells. A 2021 review of numerous studies on moxibustion concluded that the technique helps reduce chemotherapy symptoms and improve quality of life. The study authors concluded that until more is known about the safety of this product, people should exercise while consuming California mugwort extracts, whether in tincture or tea form.
Cosmetology
Wormwood has also found a strong place in the cosmetic field (to support hair growth and skin rejuvenation).
Let's consider several use cases:
- Lotion . Mix 1 tsp. tinctures with 300 ml of mineral water and 20 ml of almond oil. Strain and pour into a glass bottle. Wipe the skin of the face and neck with the composition in the morning and evening immediately after washing. The lotion moisturizes the skin, promotes deep cleansing of pores and prevents the appearance of wrinkles.
- Ice cubes . The broth can be poured into ice molds and placed in the freezer for 3-4 hours. Wipe the skin of the face (especially around the eyes) with the resulting cubes every morning. The method effectively trains blood vessels, reduces swelling, and prevents the appearance of acne.
- Cosmetic oil . 1 tbsp. l. ground fresh leaves pour 100 ml of linseed or olive oil. Leave for about 72 hours in a glass container at room temperature and out of sunlight. Strain. Add the product to creams (2-3 drops) for morning facial skin care. The oil allows you to rejuvenate and soften the skin, making it elastic and smooth.
- Scrub mask . The method requires dried and crushed wormwood herb. First, you need to steam your face with a hot towel: moisten it in hot water and apply it to the skin of your forehead, cheeks and chin for 2-3 minutes. Wait 5 minutes and repeat the procedure. Then apply the herb to the skin with massage movements. Wormwood acts as a feeding abrasive. This type of cleansing removes dead cells and stimulates the renewal process.
When used correctly, the described cosmetics will help get rid of wrinkles and transform the skin.
Reviews
Recently I was diagnosed with worms, the doctor advised me to take a decoction of wormwood with cloves. I took this decoction for 14 days, then took repeated tests. It turned out that there were several times fewer parasites in the body. I will take a break of 2 weeks and again be treated with a herbal decoction.

I faced the problem of papillomas. A friend advised me to take wormwood tincture in cognac. After consulting with a doctor, I decided to experiment. The tincture tastes bitter, so I washed it down with water. After a week, the tumors became noticeably lighter and then disappeared completely.
