Indications for use

Multi-Tabs Baby is prescribed to children aged 1 to 4 years for the prevention and treatment of hypovitaminosis, as well as deficiency of useful minerals.

It is indicated in the case of:

• Lack of certain vitamins and the appearance of corresponding symptoms;
• Under high physical and psychological stress, which can cause long-term stress;
• In the post-painful period to strengthen the exhausted body;
• Lack of proper and nutritious nutrition;
• For the proper development of the musculoskeletal system.

Mode of application

It is necessary to take Multi-Tabs Baby vitamins orally at the same time as food or after it.

Children aged 1-4 years need to take one tablet per day.

The duration of the course of treatment is determined by a specialist depending on the degree of deficiency of any of the elements.

Release form and composition

The vitamin-mineral complex is available in the form of chewable tablets with fruit flavors, 30 and 60 pieces per package.

One tablet contains: vitamin A (retinol acetate) – 400 mcg; D (colecalciferol) – 10 mcg; E (dl-alpha-tocopherol acetate) – 5 mg; B1 (thiamine nitrate) – 0.7 mg; B2 (riboflavin) – 0.8 mg; B6 (pyridoxine hydrochloride) – 0.9 mg; B12 (cyanocobalamin) – 1 mcg; B3 (nicotinamide) – 9 mg; B5 (pantothenic acid) – 3 mg; B9 (folic acid) – 20 mcg; C (ascorbic acid – 40 mg; iron – 10 mg; zinc – 5 mg; copper – 1 mg; manganese – 1 mg; chromium – 20 mcg; selenium – 25 mcg; iodine – 70 mcg; inactive ingredients; excipients.

Interaction with other drugs

It is contraindicated to take Multi-Tabs Baby simultaneously with other vitamin and mineral complexes.

It is not recommended to use tetracycline series with antibiotics, as their absorption can be slowed down by the iron contained in the composition.

In the case of parallel use with a multivitamin complex of drugs from the sulfonamide group, which are antimicrobial, the side effects of these drugs may be increased due to ascorbic acid.

Antacids may impair the absorption of some components of Multi-Tabs Baby, in particular iron.

Vitamin B6 reduces the effect of the antiparkinsonian drug levodopa.

Retinol worsens the anti-inflammatory effects of the glucocorticoid group.

Side effects

When used correctly and dosages are observed, no side effects are observed.

An exception may be high sensitivity to some components of the drug. In this situation, it is possible to cause an allergic reaction, which is expressed by a rash, redness of certain areas of the skin, and itching. In some cases, this may be edema, anaphylactic shock, hyperthermia.

Disorders in the gastrointestinal tract are also possible - nausea, stomach pain.

If an overdose occurs, irritation of the mucous membranes of the digestive system is possible, symptoms of hypervitaminosis appear, caused by each of the substances contained in the composition - arrhythmia, dry skin, hair loss.

Contraindications

Multi-tabs Baby is contraindicated to take:

• Children under 1 year old;
• Persons with an allergic reaction to the composition of the drug;
• With hypervitaminosis, and;
• Hypercalcemia and hypercalciuria;
• Kidney failure;
• Fructose intolerance;
• Disorders of iron and copper metabolism;
• Chronic heart failure.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding, this drug is contraindicated, since the composition and dosage are designed for a child’s body.

Overdose

If the dosage of vitamin A is exceeded for a long time, the child may develop gastrointestinal disorders, bone pain, skin reactions, fatigue, and increased intracranial pressure .

Exceeding the dosage of vitamin C can lead to the development of diarrhea and other dyspeptic symptoms.

If the dose of vitamin D has been exceeded for a long time, the child may experience loss of appetite, slowed growth, dyspeptic disorders, and an increase in serum calcium levels.

If the above or other side effects are observed, treatment should be suspended. Symptomatic therapy is provided.
