Klindovit ointment - instructions for use for acne, composition, analogues of Clindamycin gel

Acne occurs in adolescence and usually does not appear in people over 30 years of age. If treated incorrectly, scars may remain on the face in place of purulent, inflamed acne. Therefore, it is necessary to carefully and carefully get rid of acne. One of the drugs that is used against dermatological diseases is Clindovit. The main active ingredient of the gel is clindamycin. This is a derivative of lincomycin, an antibiotic that acts not only as a bactericidal agent, but also completely suppresses the reproduction and spread of gram-positive microorganisms that cause acne and closed comedones. Manufacturer of the pharmacological agent: OJSC KhFK Akrikhin (Russia).

Composition of the medicinal substance

Clindovit is an antibacterial drug aimed at treating acne, pimples and pimples. Available in aluminum tubes filled with gel or ointment, intended for external use. It is almost transparent and has no color, has a specific odor; Opalescence may be present.

The key active ingredient in the gel is clindamycin, or rather its phosphate compound.

Constituents contributing to the action of clindamycin:

  • purified water;
  • disodium lauriminodipropionate tocopheryl phosphate;
  • carbomer interpolymer;
  • propylene glycol;
  • methyl parahydroxybenzoate, or nipagin;
  • macrogol 400, or polyethylene oxide 400;
  • sodium hydroxide;
  • allantoin;
  • carbomer copolymer.

Drug interactions

The antagonist of Clindovit is Erythromycin: these two drugs cannot be used simultaneously. Also, the gel is not suitable for correcting pathologies using muscle relaxants - otherwise their effect will be greatly enhanced, which increases the risk of disruption of neuromuscular transmission and can lead to unpredictable consequences.

Also, during the period of treatment of skin diseases with Klindovit, you must completely stop drinking alcohol. Antibiotics cannot be combined with alcohol and lead to severe intoxication of the body.

Operating principle

Ointment and gel is an antibiotic. It mostly contains antibiotic compounds from the lincosamide group and is active against all types of Propionibacterium acnes bacteria. The gel is aimed at defeating all types of bacteria that spread and also cause acne.

Some time after application to the body, the active substance, clindamycin phosphate, reaches the flow channels of the sebaceous pores and there it has the necessary healing effect.

The concentration of fatty acids on the skin, after applying the ointment, is reduced to a level of 2%. Before use, the concentration is 14%, which means a reduction of 12% can be observed. After 5-7 hours, improvements are noticeable in the general condition of the skin rashes.

Contraindications and side effects of Clindovit for acne

The substance has a small list of contraindications for persons:

  • those suffering from pseudomembranous colitis;
  • individually intolerant of the components of the drug;
  • those struggling with Crohn's disease;
  • patients with ulcerative colitis.

Groups of people who should use Clindovit especially carefully when removing rashes:

  • children under 12 years of age (information about the safety of the drug and the positive outcome of treatment has not been reported);
  • people predisposed to allergic reactions;
  • breastfeeding women;
  • persons taking muscle relaxants, erythromycin or lincomycin at the same time as Clindovit.

The undesirability of simultaneous treatment with erythromycin and clindamycin is due to the fact that they are antagonists, that is, they act oppositely.

Clindamycin makes the effect of muscle relaxants several times stronger, which can disrupt the normal functioning of neuromuscular impulses and their transmission.

Lincomycin and clindomycin have cross-resistance, which also reduces the effectiveness of both.

Side effects, in most courses of use, do not occur, but in exceptional cases they occur:

  • dryness;
  • contact dermatitis;
  • peeling;
  • development of irritation;
  • burning;
  • increased sebum secretion;
  • itching

No evidence of overdose with this drug has been found.

Results

In adolescence, and not only the sebaceous glands become inflamed. A person feels psychological discomfort, but without starting to treat the disease in time, the process can be complicated. And in the place where the acne was, small marks may then remain on the skin, which spoil its appearance. Therefore, it is necessary to get rid of acne. The pharmacological industry produces many different drugs to combat pathology. One of the effective ones is Clindovit gel. Its advantages:

  1. In most cases, there is no drying effect.
  2. Low cost.
  3. Economical. You only need a small amount of gel to treat problem areas.
  4. Light texture. The cream is well absorbed without leaving greasy stains.
  5. It can be easily combined with other drugs, but it is not recommended to do this with erythromycin.
  6. Possibility of long-term use.

Of course, if the pharmacy does not have this particular product, then you can buy its analogue. True, in most cases their cost is higher, although the effectiveness is almost the same.

Instructions for use of the gel. Recommended Doses

The ointment is used externally. The gel must be applied in layers of 1 to 3 millimeters to rash-prone skin, rubbing thoroughly, after cleansing and drying it beforehand. Frequency of application: up to three doses per day.

In order to obtain immediate therapeutic improvement, treatment must be carried out for six weeks or more, and in extreme cases it can even be continued for up to six months or more.

Medicinal gels of this type are characterized by the fact that gradual addiction develops to them, and therefore its further use will become ineffective.

To prevent addiction, which means wasted use, the best solution is to take short breaks in use. As a rule, the scope of such breaks is within a couple of weeks, and sometimes up to several months.

If, after returning to treatment with Clindovit, its effectiveness remains low, then you will have to stop using it completely.

It happens that patients try to introduce Klindovit into the fight against all dermatological problems, spreading it on any type of skin rash.

Still, we have to realize that Klindovit was developed for a specific purpose, and has a certain pharmacological orientation, namely as a remedy for acne and acne.

Carefully! Thoughtless and uncontrolled application of ointment will not only bring minimal benefit, but will also harm health.

Reviews

Elena: My skin is not particularly problematic, but large red pimples always break out once a month. On the advice of a friend, I bought Klindovit, and it was the only thing that saved me for many years. Then it disappeared from sale and I had to go to a dermatologist to find another medicine.

Miroslava: The pharmacist complained to Klindovit, my problem was written right on my face. The first week there was no result, I wanted to give up on this matter. Then I noticed that all the acne began to lighten. As a result, they completely disappeared. Now if anything jumps up on the skin, I immediately apply it.

Maria: While fighting acne, I tried a lot of expensive products, but in the end the cheapest one helped - Klindovit. I came across information about it on the Internet; before, even the medications prescribed by the doctor did not help.
