Pharmacodynamics.
Chloroquinaldol (5,7-dichloro-8-hydroxy-quinaldine) is a synthetic antibacterial mixture of a group of quinoline-like substances that acts bacteriostatically against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria.
Resistance to chloroquinaldol develops completely, over-resistance to antibiotics and other antimicrobial agents (not from a group similar to 8-hydroxyquinoline) every day.
Promestrin is a synthetic estrogen-like substance that produces a local estrogenic effect on the mucous membrane of the lower organs of the urogenital tract, renews their trophism, and is used for local stagnation. When administered intravaginally, do not perform a systemic procedure, as it does not affect the endometrium, mammary glands and pituitary gland.
Promestrin has a local estrogenic effect on the mucous membrane of the biscuits: it inhibits the proliferation of the poultry epithelium, renews glycogen in the cells of the poultry epithelium, which is a substrate for lactobacilli, renews There is a physiological pH of the soil and thus prevents recurrent infections.
Pharmacokinetics.
In case of intravaginal constipation, the tablet interacts with vaginal secretions, splits and its components are released. Promestrin does not accumulate in textiles, less than 1% of the promestrin is absorbed, and its recovery period is 24 years. When promestrin is administered intravaginally, do not cause resorptive effects or systemic hormonal effects on a daily basis. Its effects on the epithelium of the skin are registered already 1–2 days after the beginning of therapy. Chlorquinaldol, when administered locally, does not absorb and does not cause resorptive effects.
Use of the drug Kolposeptin
1 tablet (previously well moistened) is inserted deep into the vagina in the evening before bed. It is better to do this lying on your back, with your knees slightly bent. Treatment begins at any time of the menstrual cycle and continues even during menstruation. During menopause, treatment begins at any time. To speed up the onset of the effect, you can use 2 tablets per day (morning and evening). The duration of treatment usually lasts up to 18 days. Depending on the therapeutic effect and if necessary, treatment can be continued. For prenatal preparation of the cervix - 1 tablet per day for 5-6 days before birth.
Contraindicated
Sensitivity has been extended to any component of the medical specialty.
Regardless of the presence of systemic effects in the presence of medicinal administration of Colposeptin, the drug is not affected, like any estrogens, with a history of estrogen-dependent swelling.
Breast bathing (div. section “Congestion during pregnancy or breast nursing”).
In connection with spermicides (section “Interactions with other medicinal agents and other types of interactions”).
Indications for use
The use of Colposeptin is indicated for topical use in gynecology:
- Treatment of exocervicitis, bacterial vaginosis and other infectious and inflammatory diseases of the vagina of bacterial origin (except for infections caused by gonococci);
- Candidiasis (therapy of mild forms);
- Prevention of chronic recurrent infectious diseases of the vagina caused by flora sensitive to chloroquinaldol;
- Preparation of the cervix before childbirth.
In addition, vaginal tablets are prescribed to patients after surgery associated with uterine erosion to speed up the process of restoration of the epithelial layer.
Features of good stagnation
Before starting the harvest, conduct a further clinical and gynecological examination.
During the hour of bathing, it is necessary to exercise medical caution.
Episodes of vaginal bleeding were reported during the administration of the drug chlorquinaldol/promestrin in the medicinal form of vaginal tablets. In cases of vaginal bleeding, it is necessary to administer treatment and determine the etiology of the bleeding.
Chloroquinaldol is the result of halogenation of hydroxyquinoline. Episodes of cross-allergies with cleioquinol, another halogenated hydroxyquinoline, have been reported.
Suspension during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Vaginism.
Medical prescription Colposeptin is not indicated for use during pregnancy.
In clinical practice, the results of numerical epidemiological studies make it possible to exclude the risk of guilt in the development of inherited estrogens either independently or in combination on the onset of gestation, on administration of diethylstilbestrol. As a result, at times of pregnancy, when estrogens become inactive, there is no need for them to be interrupted.
Goddamn breastfeeding.
Systemic resorption of promestrin is low. Be careful not to take Colposeptin before breastfeeding due to the lack of data on how much milk penetrates into breast milk.
This is due to the fluidity of the reaction during treatment with vehicles or other mechanisms.
Doesn't flow in.
Special instructions for the use of the drug Kolposeptin
In isolated cases, especially with vaginal dryness, the Colposeptin tablet may not completely dissolve (its remains can sometimes be found on underwear), which reduces the effectiveness of treatment. To prevent such cases, the tablet must be moistened with a small amount of plain water. In such cases, patients should use pads. Kolposeptin can be used in girls; if the hymen is intact, the tablet must be crushed before use. Colposeptin can be used during pregnancy and lactation. As with the use of other medications, you should be especially careful when using the drug in the first trimester of pregnancy. The use of Colposeptin does not affect the ability to drive vehicles or operate other machinery.
Side effects
Based on the frequency, adverse reactions are divided into the following categories: very often (≥1/10); often (≥1/100 to <1/10); uncommon (≥ 1/1000 to <1/100); rare (≥1/10000 to <1/1000); very rare (<1/10000); invisible (impossible to evaluate based on obvious data).

Invisible: hypersensitivity.
On the side of the skin and under the skin.
Invisible: itching at the place of stagnation.
On the side of the statue system there are milk vines.
Unknown: vulvovaginal discomfort, vaginal bleeding.
Pharmacological action of Colposeptin
Kolposeptin is a combination drug intended for topical use. One vaginal suppository of Colposeptin contains two hundred milligrams of chloroquinaldol and ten milligrams of promestrin.
Chloroquinaldol is a synthetic antibacterial agent, a quinoline derivative. Active against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, some protozoa, yeast and yeast-like fungi, dermatophytes (filamentous fungi).
Promestrin, which is part of Colposeptin, is a synthetic estrogen-like substance. It has low activity and therefore does not affect the endometrium and does not have a systemic effect.
Promestrin protects the vaginal epithelium, promotes its renewal and growth, and also restores self-regulation of the vagina.

During treatment with the drug, latex condoms should not be used, as the ingredients of Colposeptin reduce their strength. And spermicidal agents to protect against unwanted pregnancy are less effective under the influence of the drug.
Kolposeptin
Name: Colposeptine Pharmacological action: Colposeptine is a combination drug for topical use in gynecological practice. Colposeptin contains antibacterial and estrogenic components. Chloroquinaldol is a synthetic substance from the group of quinoline derivatives that has a pronounced bacteriostatic effect. Gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms are sensitive to the action of chloroquinaldol. There was no development of cross-resistance of microorganisms with antibacterial agents of other groups.
Promestriene is a synthetic drug with estrogenic activity. Promestriene, when used intravaginally, does not have a systemic effect; in particular, there is no effect of promestriene on the mammary glands, endometrium and pituitary gland. Promestriene promotes the restoration of glycogen in the cells of the epithelial layer of the vagina, stimulates the proliferation of the vaginal epithelium, helps restore the vaginal microflora (being a substrate for lactobacilli) and normalizes the pH level of the vaginal mucosa. Intravaginal use of promestriene leads to increased local immunity. When inserted into the vagina, the Kolposeptin tablet dissolves under the influence of vaginal secretions. The active components of the drug Kolposeptin are not absorbed into the systemic circulation and do not have a resorptive effect.
Indications for use: Colposeptin is intended for the treatment of patients suffering from infectious and inflammatory diseases of the vagina of bacterial etiology (excluding infections caused by gonococci). In particular, Kolposeptin is used for exocervicitis and bacterial vaginosis. The effectiveness of the drug Kolposeptin in mild forms of candidiasis has been noted. Colposeptin is prescribed as a prophylactic agent to patients suffering from chronic recurrent infectious diseases of the vagina, which are caused by flora sensitive to chloroquinaldol.
Kolposeptin vaginal tablets can be prescribed to prepare the cervix before childbirth, as well as to accelerate the restoration of the epithelial layer of the cervix after surgery for cervical erosion.
Directions for use: Colposeptin is intended for intravaginal use. The vaginal tablet should be inserted as deep into the vagina as possible. During drug therapy, it is recommended to use sanitary pads. For ease of administration of the tablet, it is recommended to lie on your back and bend your knees. After using the tablet, it is recommended to remain in a horizontal position for at least 1 hour. You can start therapy on any day of the cycle; treatment is not interrupted during menstruation. If the vagina is dry, the tablet should be moistened with water before insertion. The duration of therapy and dose of the drug Kolposeptin is determined by the doctor.
As a rule, 1 vaginal tablet is prescribed once a day (in the evening). In severe forms of disease or when it is necessary to obtain a quick effect, as a rule, 2 vaginal tablets are prescribed per day (morning and evening). In order to prepare the cervix for childbirth, as a rule, 1 vaginal tablet is prescribed per day. The duration of therapy is usually 14-18 days. The duration of the course of preparing the cervix for childbirth is usually 5-6 days.
Side effects: Colposeptin is generally well tolerated by patients. Isolated cases of local allergic reactions have been reported, including hyperemia, a feeling of heat, burning and itching of the vaginal mucosa and the skin of the perineum. If allergic reactions develop, it is recommended to consult a doctor who will select an alternative remedy. In isolated cases, the development of metrorrhagia is possible, which requires the prescription of symptomatic drugs.
Contraindications: Colposeptin is not prescribed to patients with individual hypersensitivity to chlorquinaldol and promestriene. Colposeptin should not be used to treat patients with estrogen-dependent tumors. It is not recommended to prescribe the drug to patients who use latex condoms or spermicides as contraception (you should choose other contraceptives or abstain from sexual activity during the period of therapy). Colposeptin is not intended for use in pediatric patients.
Pregnancy: The drug Kolposeptin can be used during pregnancy as prescribed by a doctor. Kolposeptin vaginal tablets can be used as a means to prepare the cervix for childbirth. If a woman is not planning a pregnancy, reliable contraception should be used (given that Kolposeptin vaginal tablets significantly reduce the reliability of latex condoms and spermicidal preparations). There are no contraindications to the use of the drug during breastfeeding, however, for women who are breastfeeding, Kolposeptin is recommended to be used for a short period.
Interaction with other drugs: Colposeptin, when used in combination, reduces the effectiveness of spermicides. When the drug is used in combination with drugs containing metal and iodine compounds, there is a decrease in the pharmacological effectiveness of chlorquinaldol. Condoms should not be used as a contraceptive during therapy with Colposeptin, since additional ingredients of vaginal tablets may reduce the strength of latex products.
Overdose: There have been no reports of overdose of Colposeptin.
Release form: Vaginal tablets in blister packs of 6 pieces, in a cardboard box 3 blister packs.
Storage conditions: The drug Kolposeptin should be stored for no more than 5 years after the date of manufacture in rooms with a temperature not exceeding 25 degrees Celsius.
Composition: 1 vaginal tablet of the drug Kolposeptin contains: Chlorquinaldol – 200 mg; Promestriene – 10 mg; Additional ingredients.
