Description of pharmacological action
Helps replenish the lack of vitamins and minerals, ensures normalization of the menstrual cycle, increases female fertility, thereby creating optimal conditions for pregnancy. Pregnoton is intended to prepare the female body for pregnancy. Pregnoton can also be used in the complex treatment of diseases of the female reproductive system. The effect of the drug is determined by the properties of its constituent components. Folic acid is necessary for cell division and growth, therefore during the period of rapid development of the body (at the stage of early intrauterine development) it is required in increased quantities. Folic acid also plays an important role in the formation of the placenta and new blood vessels in the uterus. Taking folic acid in preparation for conception and during pregnancy reduces the risk of premature termination of pregnancy, bleeding, and the development of neural tube defects in newborns. Zinc is one of the most important elements during pregnancy. It is necessary for the functioning of the genetic apparatus, required for the formation and development of the cell nucleus, as well as for cell growth and division. Zinc is involved in the regulation of the synthesis of nucleic acids, proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Taking zinc helps prevent premature placental abruption, complicated childbirth, congenital malformations of the child and other problems. Vitamin E improves oxygen saturation of tissues and is necessary for the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. No less important is the antioxidant function of vitamin E, thanks to which it protects cells from the harmful effects of free radicals. Lack of vitamin E in the mother's body can affect premature babies (they may have visual impairment and hemolytic anemia). Vitamin C supports the synthesis of collagen (the main connecting element of the walls of blood vessels and bone tissue), takes part in the metabolism of cholesterol, carbohydrate metabolism processes and many important biochemical reactions. Vitamin C also strengthens capillaries and has anti-inflammatory properties. Vitamin C deficiency can lead to premature rupture of membranes. Selenium is part of a large number of enzymes, incl. increasing fertility (ability to conceive). Selenium deficiency can lead to hormonal imbalance and increased toxic effects of heavy metals. Magnesium regulates more than 300 biochemical processes in the body, incl. Protein synthesis and activation of amino acids occur especially intensively during pregnancy. Magnesium also ensures the transmission of electrical signals between cells. Magnesium deficiency is common in women and is especially dangerous during pregnancy, because may cause fetal growth retardation, miscarriage, eclampsia. Vitamin B6 (pyridoxine) is necessary for the synthesis of amino acids from which proteins are synthesized. It also ensures the normal development of the child’s brain and nervous system.
