Charozetta - description of the drug, instructions for use, reviews

Charosetta

The drug may be prescribed to nursing mothers, as well as women for whom estrogens are contraindicated.

It should be remembered that contraceptive effectiveness may decrease if the interval between taking 2 tablets is more than 36 hours. If taking the next tablet is delayed by less than 12 hours, you should take the tablet as soon as the woman remembers and take subsequent tablets at the usual time. If taking the next pill is delayed by more than 12 hours, you should adhere to the above rules for taking pills, additionally using barrier methods of contraception over the next 7 days. If taking pills was missed in 1 week of their use and there was sexual intercourse within 1 week preceding the missed pills, possible pregnancy should be excluded.

If vomiting occurs within 3-4 hours after taking the drug, absorption of the drug may be incomplete and recommendations regarding skipping the next dose of the drug should be used. If a woman does not want to change her usual dosing regimen, she needs to take an additional tablet from another package.

While taking oral contraceptives, the risk of developing breast cancer increases with age (does not depend on the duration of taking oral contraceptives, but depends on the age of the woman).

Although gestagens can affect peripheral insulin resistance and glucose tolerance, there is no evidence that dosage adjustments are required in patients with diabetes mellitus, however, women with diabetes mellitus should be under medical supervision throughout the entire treatment period.

If you have amenorrhea and pain while taking the drug, you should be aware of a potential ectopic pregnancy.

Women with a predisposition to chloasma should avoid prolonged sun exposure or exposure to UV radiation.

Despite regular use of the drug, irregular bleeding is possible. If bleeding is quite frequent and irregular, it is necessary to decide on the appointment of another contraceptive. If the above symptoms continue to occur after discontinuation of the drug, organic pathology should be excluded.

When taking low-dose hormonal contraceptives, occasionally the follicles may become larger than normal in size. In most cases, they disappear on their own, sometimes there is mild pain in the lower abdomen, and occasionally surgical intervention is required.

Large-scale epidemiological studies have not revealed a teratogenic effect when taking oral contraceptives in early pregnancy, nor an increased risk of having children with anomalies.

When taking rifampicin, a barrier contraceptive method should be used throughout the course of treatment and for 28 days after discontinuation of this drug.

Women taking drugs that induce liver enzymes for a long period of time are advised to stop taking the drug and use non-hormonal methods of contraception.

There was no evidence of any effect of the drug on the ability to drive a car or use other mechanisms.
