Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
Breast Elixir is a combined action expectorant, the effectiveness of which is due to the action of its active ingredients.
Thick licorice extract is characterized by its expectorant and anti-inflammatory effects, due to the presence of glycyrrhizin , which has a stimulating effect in the bronchi and trachea on the function of ciliated epithelial , as well as increasing the secretion of the mucous membrane of the upper respiratory tract.
The irritating effect of an aqueous solution of ammonia in the upper respiratory tract triggers the excitatory mechanisms of sensitive nerve cells and reflex stimulation of the respiratory center .
Thanks to anethole , contained in anise oil , its expectorant effect is manifested, as well as the effects of reflex stimulation of breathing , increased activity of ciliated epithelial and increased secretion of the mucous membrane of the trachea , larynx and bronchi .

Reviews
The breast elixir has established itself as a reliable drug that has been tested for more than one decade. Many patients write in their reviews that the medicine is safe and of natural origin. While taking it, your health improves and intoxication is relieved due to the discharge of sputum. And, what is important for patients, especially pensioners, the price is pleasantly surprising - from 21 rubles per bottle.
Doctors also like to work with the Breast Elixir. Good tolerability, virtually no side effects and drug interactions, combined with the price, guarantee that the patient follows the doctor’s prescriptions.

Interaction
There is a risk of hypokalemia in patients simultaneously taking the elixir and drugs with theazide and loop diuretics (Hydrochlortheazide, Chlortheazide, Furosemide, Bumetonide, Ethacrynic acid). Using the elixir together with glucocorticosteroid drugs (Avamys, Nasonex, Rinoclenil, Benarin) provokes a slowdown in the removal of cortisol from the body.
It is unsafe to use the breast elixir simultaneously with drugs that stop mucus production or stop the cough reflex. This leads to stagnation of fluid in the respiratory tract, cessation of proper aeration of the lungs and the risk of contracting infectious diseases.
It is undesirable to take licorice-containing drugs simultaneously due to the high risk of developing arterial hypertension. Long-term use together with antibacterial agents can lead to the production of acetaldehyde and severe toxic reactions in the body.
