The recommended daily dose is 50 mg. The cost of tablets with a dosage of 12.5 and 50 mg is practically the same. Therefore, I usually buy it in a dosage of 50 mg. And I take half a tablet every morning before work. Thus, a package of 90 tablets lasts me six months. This allows you to save almost twice on purchasing medicine. One more nuance. The drug is sold either in 3 plates (30 pcs) or in a box of 9 plates (90 pcs). In the first case, the cost is 340 rubles, and if you buy a package of 3 plates - 680 rubles. The savings are obvious. But last time the large package was out of stock. And I had to buy a smaller volume. The maximum content of the active substance reaches after 6 hours, and then gradually decreases over 24 hours. That is, the medicine provides blood pressure support in the normal range all day long. The maximum and lasting effect is achieved after 3 weeks of use. An important point: the drug contains a light diuretic. According to one medical theory, removing excess water from the body reduces the load/pressure on the walls of blood vessels. Properties and principle of operation

The amount of water, salts, and blood pressure in the body is regulated by special hormonal relationships. One of the most important is the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system.
Our kidneys produce a substance called renin. It is produced by cells that are sensitive to fluid pressure in the renal tubules and the sodium and potassium content of the flowing fluid. As soon as the flow or concentration of ions decreases, renin is released into the blood. Here, renin acts on a substance called angiotensinogen. The compound is produced by the liver and circulates in the blood as one of the globulins - blood proteins.
Upon contact with renin, the protein changes and becomes the substance angiotensin. After a reaction with angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE), a factor is obtained that powerfully affects vascular tone. Angiotensin 2 causes blood vessels to constrict, increasing pressure in the blood and kidney system. In addition, ACE is responsible for the destruction of the angiotensin antagonist, bradykinin.
Angiotensin not only acts on blood vessels, but also stimulates the production of another substance called aldosterone. Its purpose is to retain sodium in the body. And since sodium retains water, the amount of fluid in the bloodstream increases and the pressure rises.
APF is a very important key factor that is necessary for the smooth operation of the system. If the sequence fails in some way, then the pressure can increase even when it is not necessary. Then they take drugs that break the sequence of reactions. They do this precisely by suppressing ACE. As a result, angiotensin 2 is simply not produced.
Lozap works differently from most drugs because it blocks not the enzyme, but the receptors that connect to angiotensin 2 . As a result, the substance cannot cause blood vessels to contract.
Enalapril
The safety and effectiveness of the drug has been well studied and confirmed in clinical tests. In this regard, it is a vital medicine included in the WHO lists.
It is part of the group of drugs that inhibit angiotensin-converting enzyme . The mechanism of action is to block the enzyme that converts angiotensin 1 into angiotensin 2. The latter increases blood pressure and negatively affects the kidneys in heart disease.
