Galstena - instructions for use. Hepatologist's recommendations

The main function of the liver is to cleanse the blood of toxins, complex fatty acids and other harmful impurities. Synthetic choleretic drugs and drugs that accelerate the regeneration of liver cells (hepatocytes) create additional stress on the liver, forcing it to fight the products of their breakdown.

Galstena is a herbal preparation that is not inferior in effectiveness to synthetic analogues. Galstena heals the liver without leaving toxins behind. The drug has proven itself well in acute hepatitis, regardless of type, and a number of other liver disorders.

"GALSTENA": patient reviews

I have been hypertensive for a long time, I constantly take blood pressure pills and medications for blood vessels. And they have many side effects. Over time, I developed chronic pancreatitis, hepatosis, cholecystitis, which caused such pain that I couldn’t sleep at night. Nausea caused a lack of appetite, and, consequently, loss of strength and malaise. A friend helped me and recommended Galstena to me. I decided to try it, and after a week I felt much better. I completed the course, the nausea disappeared, the pain in the liver and pancreas disappeared. Contains plant components: herbs – milk thistle, dandelion, celandine. Therefore, for the past 5 years I have been supporting myself with it. I take both tablets and drops.

This drug is my savior. Literally 15 minutes after taking it, relief comes, the pain in the right hypochondrium subsides, I begin to feel better. I completed a course of treatment, and now from time to time, when support is needed, I take this drug. For example, after a heavy feast, inflammation of the gallbladder occurs and pain occurs. To restore its normal functioning, I take Galstena. She really helps me when things go wrong. And so, I try to follow a diet.

My stomach often reacts negatively to food, and I have to go to the clinic. One day I felt bitterness in my mouth, bloating, severe malaise, and heartburn. I went to the doctor, he diagnosed bile stagnation. Among the prescribed medications was Galstena. I really liked this drug because I felt relief very quickly. After some time, all symptoms of the disease stopped. For me it is very effective as it relieves discomfort and discomfort.

How does it affect the body? (Pharmacodynamics)

Milk thistle fruit extract has an active hepatoprotective effect on the body:

  • prevents the destruction of liver parenchyma cells - hepatocytes (cytolysis syndrome);
  • helps stabilize the processes of synthesis and outflow of bile during intrahepatic cholestasis;
  • thanks to the cholekinetic and choleretic effect, it prevents stagnation of bile in the liver and stone formation in the liver;
  • prevents unwanted changes in the rheological properties of bile;
  • normalizes the functioning of the biliary (biliary) system, primarily its evacuation and motor functions;
  • neutralizes inflammation of the hepatobiliary system
  • has an antispasmodic effect
  • helps normalize blood circulation and the functioning of the digestive tract, relieving the manifestations of dyspepsia.

Galsten drops for newborns and older children

The homeopathic remedy is allowed to be given to newborns, as it is a natural and safe remedy with a minimum number of contraindications and side effects. Negative symptoms in children can only be associated with individual intolerance to the components. In pediatrics, the solution is prescribed more often for jaundice in newborns, in which the level of bilirubin increases and symptoms of intoxication occur.

Infants often experience physiological jaundice, which is normal and goes away on its own within 2 weeks after birth. If the child was born prematurely and was in a state of hypoxia, pathological jaundice may develop. For such conditions, Galsten drops are prescribed.

Overdose and drug interactions

If you independently increase the recommended dose of Galstena, there will most likely be no unwanted negative symptoms. This is explained by the low dosage of its constituent elements, so allergies and negative reactions are practically eliminated.

No clinical interaction of Galstena with other drugs has been detected. It is taken with any methods of therapy, it is combined with all medications. If you plan to take several medications, take them with a break of half an hour.

For children over one year old

Galstena (the instructions for it should be well studied, especially if the patient is a child) has its own characteristic features when used in pediatrics. Features of the treatment of all childhood diseases are determined by the immaturity of all organs and systems of their body, metabolic processes, and the slow elimination of drugs from them.

Children's kidneys are still difficult to eliminate drugs. This means that the components taken will accumulate more intensively, which threatens an overdose. Important: when giving Galsten drops to their child, parents must strictly adhere to the recommended dose and number of doses. When determining the dosage for children under 12 years of age, the child’s weight, age, and concomitant diseases are taken into account.
