Menthol is an excellent choleretic agent, cleanses blood vessels, relieves muscle hypertonicity. In combination with lemon oil, it increases appetite and supports a person’s immunity after a serious illness, surgery, or course of chemotherapy.

CARMOLIS (drops)

I appreciate the Austrians (manufacturer - Austria) for such high-quality design.
If you lose the instructions, you can read on the box what's what. If you throw away the box, you can tell from the stickers on the bottle. By the way, it’s better not to throw away the box. The product should be stored in a dark place and the bottle is transparent. Therefore, it must be placed in a box immediately after use.

In general, storage conditions are standard: at room temperature, in a dark place out of reach of children.

If all conditions are met, the medicine will last five years. Using the barcode, you can determine the authenticity of the drug - you need to add up all its numbers. Their sum must coincide with the control number.

The bottle is equipped with a convenient dropper. The medicine drips easily and quickly. It is not difficult to measure the required number of drops.

The instructions for Carmolis are clear and detailed. Not only are all the herbs included in its composition listed (there are 10 of them), but the characteristics of each plant are also given. For example, anise helps remove mucus and eliminates bloating. The leaves of the Chinese cinnamon tree have analgesic and calming effects.

Here we can read information that this remedy was invented in 1611 by monks. That is, it is already several centuries old, and several generations have been using it. Somehow my skepticism disappeared) I understand that you can write anything you want, but the composition of the medicine is so extensive and useful that you inevitably begin to respect the monks.

The drug contains levomenthol and carmol oil, which, in turn, consists of essential oils of Chinese cinnamon, cloves, lavender, nutmeg, sage, citronella, anise, lemon, thyme.

A little more information about the components of Carmolis.

Menthol relieves smooth muscle spasms and activates bile production. When used topically, it irritates and anesthetizes, and also reduces skin itching.

I experienced this action myself. Not long ago my forehead started to itch. The dermatologist diagnosed “dermatitis” and prescribed Tsindol. But she makes me neither cold nor hot.

And today I applied Carmolis to my forehead and felt relief. Moreover, it is necessary to apply it, not rub it in. But, probably, I overdid it, because my forehead began to burn terribly. I even had to fan my face with a notebook. The discomfort quickly passed, and I felt a chill in my forehead. It was the menthol that worked. The cold also subsided after some time, but the itching did not return! It's been four hours now and my forehead doesn't itch. From the word “absolutely”.

This is the first proof of the drug's effectiveness.

I have known for a long time that nutmeg has choleretic properties and stimulates the digestive tract. I take it in the form of a spice (my review is about nutmeg).

Citronella, also known as Indian lemon balm, also known as Indian mint, acts as a mild sedative. In addition, it has antibacterial properties, and when applied topically, it helps relieve pain.

Carmolis is indicated for diseases of the upper respiratory tract, nausea, flatulence, irritability and anxiety, rheumatism, myalgia, headaches, itchy skin, insect bites.

There are also contraindications: hypersensitivity to the components of the drug, bronchospasm, cholecystitis, liver diseases, stomach ulcers, brain diseases, pregnancy, etc.

Take the drops as follows:

— for ARVI and flu, add 10-20 drops to a glass of warm water. First, they breathe in the resulting solution (by the way, it hurts your nose a lot), then they drink it in small sips. You can drop it onto a piece of sugar and dissolve the sugar in your mouth. Do this up to five times a day;

— for inhalation, pour 25-30 drops into a liter of hot water, cover with a towel and breathe in the steam. I have doubts about this method. For a long time no one has been breathing over hot potatoes, for example. Although I remember it was a good way. Allowed me to recover quickly. Began to be criticized because of the risk of getting burned. It would be nice to do inhalations in a nebulizer, but I’m not sure that Carmolis is suitable for this. The instructions don't say this;

- when coughing, rub the chest and interscapular area and wrap up well;

- for dyspeptic symptoms (flatulence, nausea, heaviness in the stomach) and as a sedative (for insomnia), add 10-20 drops to a glass of warm water. You need to breathe in the resulting solution, then drink it slowly. Do this 3-4 times a day. Just as with inflammatory diseases, you can use a piece of sugar. I don’t consume sugar, so I don’t even want to talk about this method. But perhaps some people will find it easier to manipulate sugar;

- for joint and muscle pain, rub the painful areas and cover with a warm cloth;

- for headaches, rub the temples and forehead with the undiluted drug;

— for insect bites and itchy skin, apply undiluted medication to the sore spot 2-3 times a day.

After using the product externally, you should wash your hands. Avoid contact with eyes - possible burns. The drug contains alcohol. Therefore, after using it internally, you cannot drive.

Carmolis is available in different volumes: 20,40 and 80 ml. For some reason I took the largest and, accordingly, the most expensive package. I recall that the price difference between 40 and 80 ml was negligible. Obviously that's why I bought the big bottle.

You can use the product for air aeration - pour 20-30 drops per liter of water into the humidifier. Thus, the air in the room will be disinfected.

Overall, this is truly a multifunctional product. And effective.

Since I now have ARVI, I dropped 20 drops into a glass of hot water, inhaled the vapors and drank slowly, in small sips. Literally five minutes later I felt that the cold symptoms had gone away: headache, lacrimation, nasal congestion. That is, it acts like Theraflu, Coldact, aspirin “Oops” and others like them. I felt like a person and was able to work.

The action did not last long. About three hours later, my nose was stuffy again, my head ached, and heaviness appeared in my head. But Carmolis can be taken up to five times a day. So I took the next dose and everything was fine again.

By the way, I also use the inhalation pencil “Golden Star Balm” for nasal congestion. It helps a lot.

Thus, I confirm that Carmolis is an effective remedy. Plus it's natural. It's a pity that our doctors don't know about it. Or maybe they know, but still don’t appoint.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
