The active substance of the drug induces expression of Thy-1 on thymocytes and activates 5′-ectonucleotidases. This effect of sodium alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan indicates its direct effect on the differentiation of lymphocytes in the thymus.

Directions for use and dosage:
The drug is applied in a thin layer to the affected area 1 – 2 times a day (morning and evening). The recommended daily dose is 2 g of cream (1000 mcg of thymogen). A strip of cream from a tube with a diameter of 5 mm and a length of 4 cm has a mass of 1 g. The duration of the course is until the local manifestations of the disease subside.
