The most common diseases today can be considered ARVI and colds. Every person has been sick with them at least once in their life. The uncomplicated course of these diseases in people with a normally functioning immune system usually does not require any specific treatment other than changes in diet and diet.

But still, annoying symptoms, including rhinorrhea, nasal congestion, cough, fever, aches, malaise, chills and fatigue, often bring significant discomfort to a person and require the use of medications. For symptomatic therapy, you can use the drug Toff Plus.

ARVI symptoms

It contains several active components that alleviate acute respiratory infections. But it should be remembered that such symptoms may also hide dangerous diseases that require specific treatment. Therefore, you should not self-medicate and should consult your doctor before taking the drug.

Compound

Composition of the drug
Active substance:

  • Paracetamol 500 mg;
  • Dextromethorphan 15 mg;
  • Chlorphenamine2 g;
  • Phenylephrine 10.

Pharmacodynamics

The effective action of TOFF PLUS is caused by the correct combination of individual properties of active medications that are included in its composition and give a joint synergistic result.

Among them:

  1. Paracetamol, which acts as an antipyretic and pain reliever.
  2. Phenylephrine hydrochloride, which constricts blood vessels, easily relieving swelling of the nasal cavities.
  3. Chlorphenamine acts as an antihistamine, providing an antiallergic effect, reducing the manifestations of rhinitis, relieving swelling and inflammation of the mucous membrane.
  4. Dextromethorphan is an active antitussive agent. The result is similar to that of codeine. Suppresses cough of unknown origin, softens irritation from dry cough. Has a slight sedative effect. At the same time, dextromethorphan is not a narcotic or hypnotic drug, and does not have a depressing effect on the respiratory center.

Compound

The composition includes 4 active ingredients from different pharmacological groups. Among them:

  1. Paracetamol 500 mg (NSAID).
  2. Dextromethorphan hydrobromide 15 mg (antitussive agent of central action).
  3. Chlorpheniramine maleate 2 mg (H1-histamine receptor blocker).
  4. Phenylephrine hydrochloride 10 mg (alpha adrenergic agonist).

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The effect of the drug is due to the complex influence of the components of the product:

  1. Paracetamol is a non-selective non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug with pronounced antipyretic, analgesic and anti-edematous effects. By suppressing the enzymes cyclooxygenase 1 and 2 (COX1, COX2), it stops the synthesis of prostaglandins - anti-inflammatory biologically active substances that have a powerful vasodilatory effect at the site of the inflammatory reaction. Paracetamol predominantly affects the central nervous system, in particular the nociceptive and thermoregulatory centers.

  2. Dextromethorphan is a morphine-like antitussive that does not interact with opiate receptors. It exerts its effect by influencing the cough center. In therapeutic doses it eliminates cough.
  3. Chlorpheniramine is a first-generation antihistamine that exhibits cholinergic and adrenergic activity and is a serotonin reuptake inhibitor. The main mechanism of action is histamine antagonism. By binding to H1-histamine receptors, it minimizes the effect of histamine on the pathogenesis of inflammation. Namely, it prevents spasm of smooth muscles, including the bronchi, and the permeability of the walls of capillary vessels, thereby reducing swelling and soreness of the tissues.
  4. Phenylephrine is an alpha-adrenergic agonist, an analogue of mezatone. Produces a vasoconstrictor effect, which leads to the elimination of rhinorrhea and nasal congestion.

Mode of application

Mode of application
TOFF PLUS is taken orally, one capsule every 4-6 hours, depending on the degree of manifestation of the symptoms of the disease. Maximum – 4 capsules per day.

Relief of symptoms begins within half an hour, lasting for 4 to 5 hours.

Analogs

Similar drugs containing the same active ingredients produce similar effects on the body. Among the common analogues are:

  1. Grippex Max Active
    Grippex Max Active. Country of origin: India. The drug contains the same active components, but differs from Toff Plus in an additional 5 active substance - caffeine (a psychostimulant, stimulates the respiratory center - hyperoxygenation of all organs and tissues occurs, increases the bioavailability of other components).

  2. Combiflu Dex. Manufacturer – India. The active substances are the same as in the previous drug. Available in tablet form.
  3. Helpex Anticold Dx. Manufacturer – India. The composition is identical to the previous products. Available in tablet form.

Reviews

Reviews about the drug from Internet users.

Maria, 26 years old:

TOFF PLUS was very surprising with the quick effect of reducing all cold symptoms, and then, after a few days, complete recovery without any side effects. It is clear that treating yourself is not the best solution, but in emergency situations, when there is no time to run to the doctor and you cannot skip work, you have to take everything into your own hands. I found it on the Internet, read it, paid attention to the contraindications, and, like a real doctor, prescribed this remedy for myself, which turned out to be so successful.

Reviews
Svetlanka, 25 years old:

I learned about the drug TOFF PLUS several years ago, I had to work the night shift, and I was falling off my feet from weakness and headaches. My nose was running non-stop and I had already run out of tissues. And then my friend handed me a beautiful capsule in which multi-colored granules rolled.

I liked the little thing, and when I asked what it was, she told me that with TOFF PLUS she saves herself as soon as the first signs of the disease begin. I’m a little afraid to take unfamiliar medications, but I felt really bad. I drank. About 20 minutes have passed, I feel that my head has stopped hurting, and my nose has become dry, and somehow I’m already standing stronger on my feet. I took my temperature and it dropped and it was 38.1. I worked quietly all night. Thank you TOFF PLUS.

Mira, 38 years old:

My boy got sick. And he had to take exams, it was in June. Everyone was nervous. Coughing, snot in three streams - no time for exams. A neighbor saved me. She brought some funny, bright capsules and told the child to drink it quickly. Well, of course, I asked to read the instructions. This is some kind of TOFF PLUS, I haven’t heard of it.

And the instructions say that it is not recommended for children under 14. But my son was already 16, so I thought he was already considered an adult. He drank this medicine and dragged himself to take the exam. While walking to school with a friend, he already felt better. He said that his headache had stopped hurting and his runny nose had gotten better. At least 4 hours was enough. I managed to do everything - I passed! Here's a bright pill for you.

Precautionary measures

According to the instructions for use, Toff Plus should not be used with medications that contain similar substances.

Do not use the medicine with alcohol, as this can cause severe liver failure.

During the therapeutic course, it is necessary to avoid taking ethanol, since the development of a hepatoxic effect is possible.

It is not recommended to drive vehicles during treatment with the drug.

The drug should be used with caution in elderly people and patients with serious cardiac disorders.
