Instructions for use of the drug Biosporin bottles No. 10

pharmachologic effect

The drug is a probiotic - a fermented ingredient that normalizes gastric microflora. It suppresses the proliferation of pathogens of acute intestinal infections, increases the body's defenses, accelerates the process of treatment and recovery from illness.

Due to its effective suppression of pathogenic microorganisms and its gentle effect on body systems, Biosporin is prescribed to children for common disorders and as part of complex treatment. The production of peptides with antibiotic properties, enzymes that increase acidity, provides rapid suppression of pathogenic, opportunistic types of microorganisms - Campylobacter, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, fungi of the genus Candida.

Name: Biosporin

Pharmachologic effect:

Solizim forte

Biosporin refers to probiotics - preparations containing live microorganisms. Biosporin contains dried strains of aerobic saprophytes of the genus Bacillus: B. Subtilis and B. Licheniformis. These types of bacilli exhibit antagonistic activity against a number of opportunistic and individual pathogenic microorganisms. Such activity was detected against bacteria of the genus Campylobacter, Proteus, Salmonella, Shigella, enteropathogenic E. Coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and fungi of the genus Candida. The antagonistic properties of bacilli are due to the production of peptides with antibiotic properties and enzymes that increase the acidity of the environment, which also adversely affects pathogenic species. The drug can suppress the activity of antibiotic-resistant strains. Biosporin has a positive effect on the immune system: it stimulates the synthesis of immunoglobulins, activates macrophages, enhances the production of lysozyme and endogenous interferon. Biosporin improves the absorption of vitamins K and E in the intestines, as well as normalizes the production of B vitamins. The bacilli included in Biosporin do not affect microorganisms that normally inhabit the large intestine. The components of the drug are not absorbed from the intestinal lumen and, accordingly, do not enter the systemic circulation.

Indications for use:

- Intestinal infections caused by microorganisms Salmonella, Shigella, enteropathogenic strains of E. Coli, Staphylococcus, Proteus, Campylobacter Candida, occurring in a mild or moderate form (salmonellosis, dysentery, campylobacteriosis, foodborne illness); - the same infections occurring in a severe form, in patients who have contraindications to the prescription of antibiotics; - the period of convalescence after intestinal infections in case of persistent bacterial carriage; - phenomena of dysbiosis caused by previous antibiotic therapy or other reasons; - bacterial vaginosis or vulvovaginal candidiasis (including during pregnancy); - prevention of postoperative purulent septic complications.

Mode of application:

The contents of the bottle or ampoule should be dissolved in boiled water at room temperature. One dose of Biosporin requires 5 ml of water. The drug is taken orally before meals. The interval between taking Biosporin and eating food is 30-40 minutes. Adults are prescribed two doses of Biosporin per dose. The frequency of administration per day for intestinal infections is 3, for dysbacteriosis and after surgical interventions - 2. The duration of therapy is for intestinal infections from five to seven days, for dysbiosis and after operations - from ten days to two weeks. In the treatment of bacterial vaginosis or For vulvovaginal candidiasis, the suspension obtained in the previously described manner is used for irrigation or for intravaginal administration using soaked tampons. For topical use, 2 doses of the drug are required. The exposure time for applications is 6-12 hours. The duration of local treatment is 5-10 days. In pediatric practice, 1 dose is required per dose. The frequency of administration is 2 times. The duration of therapy ranges from five to seven days for intestinal infections, to ten to fourteen days for dysbacteriosis.

Storage conditions:

Avoid exposure to light and moisture. The storage temperature of the undiluted drug is not higher than +25 degrees Celsius.

Compound:

per one dose of lyophilized living cells of B. Subtilis - 1-8 billion, living cells of B. Licheniformis - 100 million - 2 billion. Other ingredients - gelatin, sucrose, sodium chloride.

Pharmacodynamics of the drug

Bacteria in the composition of the drug exhibit high antagonistic activity towards harmful microorganisms. Strains quickly create complexes of enzymes that stimulate digestion and the body's defense reactions.

The use of Biosporin has a positive effect due to:

  • mechanism of elimination (destruction) of pathogenic bacteria, fungal flora;
  • positive effect on general, local immunity (stimulation of immunoglobulin synthesis, normalization of vitamin production);
  • cytoprotective capabilities of the intestinal mucosal barrier.

The drug begins to act already in the oral cavity, gradually covering all the lower parts of the digestive tract in a short time after administration.

There is no need to prepare children before using the medicine (no diet required). It does not have an unpleasant specific taste or smell. Due to their resistance to the acidic environment of the stomach, the spores penetrate unchanged into the intestines.

Pharmacological action of the drug "Biosporin"

The mechanism of action of the drug is based on the high antagonistic activity of bacteria against pathogenic and opportunistic microorganisms. The active ingredients, or live bacteria that make up the drug, do not affect representatives of normal microflora, but only affect harmful microorganisms. Bacillus subtilis and Bacillus licheniformis synthesize a complex of enzymes that have a stimulating effect on digestion and regulate intestinal microflora.

In addition, bacteria of the genus Bacillus improve the absorption of vitamins E and K through the mucous membranes of the gastrointestinal tract and strengthen the immune system of the entire body.

The complex effect of the drug’s bacteria leads to stimulation of the production of immunoglobulins and enhances the synthesis of endogenous interferon.

Indications for use

Biosporin is recommended for use for both therapeutic and preventive purposes. It effectively normalizes intestinal microflora, reduces the allergenicity of products that contain cow's milk proteins and gluten.

The drug is prescribed:

  • for intestinal infections of varying severity caused by Salmonella, Shigella, entomopathogenic strains of E. Coli, Staphylococcus, Proteus, Campylobacter Candida;
  • in the complex treatment of gynecological pathologies: candidiasis, bacterial vaginitis;
  • to prevent purulent-septic complications after surgical interventions;
  • to restore microflora after antibiotic therapy and poisoning.

Analogs

There are currently no structural analogues of the drug. To select a medicine with similar properties, you should consult a doctor. Among the wide range of drugs with similar pharmacological effects, one can highlight Lactobacterin, Linex, Bifiform.

Separately it is necessary about. Instructions for use recommend the drug to restore microflora in the intestines and suppress pathogenic microorganisms. This remedy is prescribed for gastrointestinal dysfunction (diarrhea, constipation, bloating), vaginal candidiasis, and food poisoning. Let's consider its action in more detail. How does it differ from the drug “Biosporin” described in the article?

Instructions for use of the capsule recommend taking it for therapeutic purposes by children over 12 years of age and adults. Perhaps this sentence contains the main difference. “Biosporin” is sold in powder form and is approved for use by children from 3 months and adults. Otherwise, these are two absolutely identical drugs.

Compatibility with other drugs

Biosporin is compatible with antibiotics and other chemotherapy drugs. No undesirable interactions were found during the studies. The official instructions for use for children contain data on a significant reduction in the harmful effects of antibiotics and improvement in the results of their use by normalizing metabolism and creating healthy microflora.

The drug does not reduce the reaction rate and does not cause drowsiness.

There are no direct contraindications to drinking alcohol during the course, but it negatively affects the dynamics of recovery.
