Disinfectant 1 l, SAMAROVKA, concentrate

Instructions for use

The active substances of “Samarovka” are alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride and alkyldimethylethylbenzylammonium chloride. They are mixed in equal proportions at a ratio of 4.8%.

The substance was classified as toxicity class 4, that is, a low-hazard substance. It retains its active properties (antimicrobial activity) even after freezing. Used to get rid of bacteria, viruses and fungi. Used in health care facilities as a disinfectant.

Before using Samarovka to disinfect surfaces, it is diluted with plain water. The concentration should be 0.5 - 3%. The required share is determined depending on the purpose. In order to treat surfaces and non-medical products, carry out preventive disinfection of ventilation, cooling devices, the product can be diluted in a concentration of about 1%. The container can be anything - a bucket, a jar, using simple calculations. Per liter of solution, take 990 milliliters of clean water and 10 milliliters of disinfectant.

In order to clean even small rooms, you will need more than a liter. Therefore, the amount of water with “Samarovka” indicated above is multiplied by the tender amount. That is, if five liters of solution are needed, 990 and 10 ml are multiplied five times. It turns out 4950 ml of water per 50 ml of disinfectant.

You can dilute the substance “by eye” without adhering to strict proportions. After all, if the error is small, the overall effectiveness of the solution does not decrease. In practice, most often, 1 liter of water is taken per 10 ml of disinfectant solution or 5 liters of water per 50 ml, respectively.

When the area to be treated corresponds to the room in proportions of 1 to 10, a 0.5 percent solution can be used. Five ml of the product is diluted per liter of plain water. Surfaces are treated with a rag or spray.

To disinfect medical instruments (disposable or reusable), metal dental instruments (including rotating), the solution should have a concentration of 2-3%. For quick complete disinfection, the working solution should be three percent.

Important! If disinfection will be carried out in an ultrasonic chamber, the solution is also used.

The numbers for preparing the substance vary, but the proportions remain the same. A liter two percent concentrate is made from 980 ml of water and 20 ml of disinfectant. Three percent - from 970 ml (1 l) of water and 30 ml of “Samarovka”.

Tools are processed by immersion. That is, everything that needs to be disinfected is dipped into the solution. Detachable components are disassembled into parts. After the procedure, everything is washed with plain running water.

special instructions

When preparing working solutions, it is recommended to avoid splashing the product and getting it into the eyes and skin.

All processes using Samarovka and prepared solutions are carried out in rubber gloves that protect the skin of the hands.

Surfaces can be treated by wiping in the presence of patients and without the use of respiratory protection.

Surfaces should be treated using coarse aerosol irrigation, using solutions of 1-3% concentration, while protecting the respiratory system with universal respirators such as RU-60M or RPG-67 with a cartridge of grade B, eyes with sealed goggles, and the skin of the hands with rubber gloves and in the absence of patients . When using solutions of 0.5% concentration, respiratory protection equipment can be omitted when treating small areas (treated surfaces to the total area of the room 1:10).

Air conditioners are treated by wiping; respiratory protection is not used. Disinfection by irrigation is carried out using personal protective equipment: respiratory organs - using universal respirators of type RU-60M or RPG-67 with a cartridge of grade B; eyes - sealed glasses. After disinfection of air ducts, ventilation and air conditioning systems, it is necessary to carry out wet cleaning.

Treatment of shoes by wiping and immersion can be carried out without respiratory protection; shoes can be treated by irrigation without the use of respiratory protection in quantities of no more than 3 pairs.

It is allowed to transport Samarovka in the original packaging of the manufacturer by any means of transport in accordance with the rules for the transportation of goods, guaranteeing the safety of the drug and packaging. The concentrate retains its properties after freezing to −20 °C with subsequent thawing.

Contraindications

There are no contraindications as such. But there are special precautions. People who are sensitive to household chemicals and those with chronic allergic diseases should not be allowed to work.

When preparing the solution, avoid contact with the skin and eyes. Moreover, the work is carried out in thick rubber gloves. Surfaces are treated by wiping without respirators or masks; patients may be present.

If irrigation occurs with a coarse aerosol, solutions of 1-3% can be used. In this case, it is necessary to wear respirators such as RPG-67, RU-60M, sealed goggles for the eyes and gloves for the hands. If the solution is 0.5%, protective equipment need not be worn (but the treated surfaces should not exceed a ratio of 1 to 10 of the total area).

Air conditioners are wiped with rags without masks or respirators. During irrigation - p. At the end of the procedure, wet cleaning must be carried out.

Shoes are treated by immersing them in a solution or wiping them. There is no need to protect your eyes or respiratory organs if no more than three pairs are wiped.

The product is stored in sealed packaging in a dark place. It cannot be stored in a diluted state. The tube should be kept separate from medications, food, and products.

There is also a list of first aid measures. After all, if all precautions are not followed, irritation of the upper respiratory tract occurs. Coughing and choking, sore throat, itching and swelling of the eyes may occur. If a particularly acute stage begins, the victim should go out into the fresh air, warm up, rinse his throat and nose, and drink warm milk or tea.

The product is washed off the skin with plain water in large quantities. The eyes are washed with a warm stream of running water for 10-15 minutes.

Attention! Failure to rinse your eyes may damage the cornea.

After the disinfectant “Samarovka” gets into the eyes, hyperemia may occur. In this case, it is necessary to instill 20 or 30 percent sodium sulfacyl. Next, you must definitely consult a doctor.

In order to protect the internal organs after the solution enters the stomach, you need to drink half a liter of water with activated carbon (1 tablet per 10 kg of weight). There is no need to induce vomiting.

Side effects

According to the parameters of acute toxicity, Samarovka belongs to the 4th class of low-hazardous substances: ingestion, application to the skin, inhalation exposure to vapors in saturating concentrations - low-hazard; direct contact – has a local irritant effect on the skin, no increased sensitivity is observed, causes severe irritation of the mucous membranes of the eyes.

Single applications of working solutions do not have a local irritating effect; repeated multiple applications can cause dry skin. Using Samarovka solution by irrigation can cause irritation of the mucous membranes of the eyes and respiratory organs.

In the form of vapors, the working solution of the drug is not very dangerous:

  • MPC (maximum permissible concentration) in the air of the working area: alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride – 1 mg/m3 (aerosol);
  • ESLV (approximate safe exposure level) in the air of the working area: mixture of alkyldimethylbenzylammonium chloride and alkyldimethylethylbenzylammonium chloride – 1 mg/m3 (aerosol).

If precautions are not observed when disinfecting using irrigation, there may be signs of acute irritation of the upper respiratory tract (cough, sore throat, choking) and eyes (itching, lacrimation, conjunctival swelling). With the appearance of the first symptoms of acute irritation of the respiratory tract, the victim must be taken out into fresh air or into a well-ventilated room; warm, provide peace and warm drink (milk); rinse your mouth, nose, throat. If necessary, contact a medical facility.

Any product that gets on the skin should be washed off with plenty of water; if it gets into the eyes, immediately rinse thoroughly under running water for 10-15 minutes (possible damage to the cornea). If hyperemia occurs, instill a solution of sodium sulfacyl 20% or 30% and contact an ophthalmologist.

If the product gets into the stomach, drink 10-20 crushed tablets of activated carbon, diluted with several glasses of water. Vomiting cannot be induced. If necessary, consult a doctor.

Directions for use and dosage

Each application has its own dosage and treatment time - to disinfect surfaces with:

  • bacteria (except tuberculosis) – 0.5% and 60 minutes or 1% and 30 minutes;
  • viruses – 2% 60 minutes, 3% 30 minutes;
  • candidiasis - 2% 60 minutes, 3% 30 minutes;
  • dermatophytes – 3% 120 minutes;
  • tuberculosis – 3% 90 min;
  • viral infections – 2% 120 min, 3% 60 min.

There are no special regimes for disinfection of blood and sputum.

Area and rules of use of the drug “Samarovka-insecticide”

“Samarovka insecticide” cannot be used to treat water bodies that are of economic importance and serve as a breeding ground for poultry and fish.

The scope of application of the drug “Samarovka-insecticide” is limited to the following objects:

  • lentic non-fishery reservoirs of natural and artificial origin;
  • areas covered with vegetation;
  • various buildings and structures.

Surface treatment should be carried out according to a plan developed by epidemiologists, parasitologists and entomologists. To formulate an optimal strategy, it is necessary to first determine the species composition of midges and calculate the ratio of exo- and endophilic blood-sucking insects.

"Samarovka insecticide" - a fast-acting mosquito repellent

The time to begin the fight against adult mosquitoes is the first mass emergence of mosquitoes after wintering. You can indicate approximate average periods:

  • for the southern regions – March;
  • for the middle zone - April;
  • for the northern parts - late spring, early June.

Only entomologists can establish specific dates.
To reduce the number of adults in the coming season, pre-adult treatment is carried out. It is aimed at destroying mosquito larvae and other types of midges, reducing and preventing the emergence of new individuals. Only the ground method of spraying non-fishery water bodies is acceptable - raised swamps, wetlands, hollows in trees, meadows with high humidity, drying up reservoirs, ditches, cotton fields.

To increase the effectiveness of the event, before spraying the drug “Samarovka-insecticide”, mow down the vegetation from the site. If this is not possible, the area is characterized by severe pollution with organic components or dense vegetation, the recommended dosage of the working solution is doubled. The use of additional insecticidal preparations is not recommended. Repeated treatment of the area is possible if larvae of blood-sucking insects reappear.

Where can it be used

The substance in certain proportions can be used in enterprises:

  • Meat processing (sinks, equipment, inventory are disinfected);
  • Dairy industry (for tanks, sinks, packaging and bottling lines);
  • Bakery facilities (for disinfection of technological equipment, various containers, premises);
  • For the production of beer, kvass, low-alcohol drinks (for general disinfection at the plant, cleaning fermentation tanks, separators).

The solution is also used to disinfect surfaces at veterinary inspection facilities to avoid infectious animal diseases. The substance can be used in railway transport for treating cars, in the subway. For railway facilities, special instructions are applied, dictated by sanitary rules. The substance is considered quite effective, although it is inexpensive. That is why this disinfectant is very popular.

How to deal with adult mosquitoes?

To effectively kill adult endophilic mosquitoes, the working solution should be sprayed into places where insects are most concentrated - on the walls, floors and ceilings of hangars, warehouses, farms, basements. The greatest attention should be paid to deep niches, corners and other hard-to-reach places. It is also necessary to treat the vegetation around the designated objects.

Methods for exterminating adults of exophilic species are selected by specialists after analyzing epidemiological indicators. Typically, barrier, continuous and selective spraying of the drug “Samarovka-insecticide” is used on the internal and external structures of the building.

When working with the drug “Samarovka-insecticide”, you should strictly follow safety precautions and use personal protective equipment – masks, goggles, gloves, a respirator.
