The drug "Ruzam": instructions for use, analogues and reviews

Almost every person has experienced what an allergic reaction is at least once in their life. In some, the reaction to the allergen manifests itself in the form of a skin rash, in others - swelling of the mucous membranes, in others - a runny nose. And if this situation happened once, then there is no need to worry, but in case of seasonal allergies, it is better to consult a doctor and choose an effective antiallergic drug. One of these is the “Ruzam” product, instructions for use of which will be presented to your attention later in the article.

Ruzam instructions for use

Overdose and interaction with other drugs

During the entire period of use of the drug, no cases of overdose were recorded.
All complaints about various reactions of the body were only a consequence of the side effects of the active substance. But if, by chance, a large dose of medication was injected subcutaneously, you must immediately contact a medical facility. Doctors will select appropriate symptomatic therapy.

Based on the results of numerous studies, it has been established that the use of the drug can be combined with antibacterial therapy, as well as with the use of glucocorticosteroids and antihistamines.

The occurrence of any adverse reactions with various combinations was not established. Therefore, when prescribing the drug “Ruzam”, it is recommended to take into account only the patient’s age and the presence of diseases for which it is contraindicated.

How to replace the product: analogues

If you need to replace the Ruzam product, the instructions for use do not describe analogues. And this is quite logical, because, as already mentioned, the medicine has no structural analogues. Therefore, if for some reason the patient cannot purchase the product or does not want to use it, fearing the consequences of side effects, it is recommended to consult a doctor.

The specialist will select an effective medicine or a set of medicines that will help cope with allergies. Self-medication in such a situation is strictly prohibited, because the body’s reaction can be unpredictable.

Ruzam is an antiallergic drug for the treatment of adults and children with an original mechanism of action. Available in ampoules with a solution for subcutaneous injections.

The body has several different “links” of immunity: humoral, cellular, etc. When one of them is stimulated, the other is inhibited. Allergy is an excessive humoral response. Ruzam stimulates the cellular link, automatically suppressing humoral and, as a consequence, the production of IgE and allergic reactions.

The drug is prescribed for the following diseases:

  1. Year-round allergic rhinitis and seasonal (hay fever).
  2. Bronchial asthma.
  3. Hives.
  4. Quincke's edema.
  5. Allergic dermatitis (including atopic).
  6. Frequent respiratory infections.

The drug is used for subcutaneous injections.

Adults and children over 6 years of age receive one injection per week. A single dosage of the drug is 0.2 ml.

Children aged 4-6 years are administered 0.1 ml once a week subcutaneously.

The duration of treatment is from 5 to 10 weeks. You can take up to 4 such courses per year.

In case of hay fever, the drug should be treated 6-8 weeks before the flowering of the plant that causes the allergy. In case of frequent acute respiratory infections, prevention should be carried out twice a year - in spring and autumn.

The drug should not be used to treat children under 4 years of age. Ruzam is also contraindicated for the following diseases:

  • active tuberculosis;
  • acute infections;
  • decompensated diseases of internal organs;
  • hypersensitivity to the drug.

The drug is prescribed with caution to patients with chronic tonsillitis, sinusitis and other foci of chronic infection, since there is a risk of their exacerbation. The drug is prohibited for use during pregnancy and lactation

The drug is prohibited for use during pregnancy and lactation.

There have been no reports of overdose at this time. If you encounter this phenomenon, be sure to tell your doctor about it.

During treatment with Ruzam, side effects develop such as:

  • low-grade fever;
  • short-term increase in cough in chronic bronchitis;
  • increased rashes on the skin due to dermatitis;
  • lethargy, loss of strength;
  • exacerbation of a chronic source of infection.

The occurrence of side effects indicates the positive dynamics of treatment. Symptoms are usually mild and do not require discontinuation of the drug or dose adjustment. After completing the course of therapy, the patients’ well-being is restored.

In isolated cases, side effects worsen. To reduce their intensity, you can take antibiotics, antihistamines, and glucocorticosteroids. You should consult a doctor to select medications.

Ruzam is a solution for subcutaneous injections. In appearance it is a clear liquid with a characteristic odor.

The drug contains the following components:

  • extract from the culture of a thermophilic strain of Staphylococcus aureus, strain C-2. The drug does NOT contain a live culture of the microorganism;
  • sodium chloride solution 0.9%;
  • phenol 0.025 or 0.05%.

Ruzam has anti-inflammatory and antiallergic effects. The drug reduces swelling of the skin and mucous membranes, lowers the levels of eosinophils and mast cells at the site of inflammation. Activates the cellular component of immunity and reduces the reaction of passive cutaneous anaphylaxis and the level of antibodies in the blood.

It also increases the content of secretory immunoglobulin class A in the mucous membranes, thereby increasing their resistance to infections.

Analyzes of a patient undergoing treatment with Ruzam demonstrate a decrease in the levels of markers of allergic inflammation. The level of immunoglobulin E in the blood decreases, and there is less nitric oxide in the exhaled air.

Ruzam can be prescribed simultaneously with antibiotics, glucocorticosteroids and antihistamines.

No negative reactions due to any drug combinations were identified.

Composition and release form of the product

When creating this drug, pharmacists use an extract from a culture of the isolated thermophilic strain C-2 of Staphylococcus aureus. Phenol and sodium chloride are used as additional components. A colorless or slightly colored solution for subcutaneous injection with a characteristic odor is packaged in ampoules with a dosage of 0.2 and 0.5 ml.

In a cardboard pack of the drug, in contour packages, there are 5 or 10 ampoules, depending on the type of packaging. In the pharmacy chain, the medicine “Ruzam” (the instructions warn about this) is dispensed only with a prescription from the treating doctor.

Side effects

Negative reactions to a drug with a unique formula appear in isolated cases. Children and adults tolerate Ruzam injections well; after applying antiallergic cream, negative reactions also rarely occur.

Possible side effects:

  • weakness;
  • increase in subfertile temperature;
  • increased cough;
  • increase in the volume of rashes.

On a note! In most patients, negative symptoms resolve over time and symptomatic treatment is rarely required. Cases of overdose have not been described; even multiple excesses of the norm did not lead to severe adverse reactions.

Side effects of the medication

When prescribing treatment with Ruzam, the doctor must inform the patient about the following possible reactions of the body:

  • an increase in body temperature within the subfebrile range;
  • loss of strength and lethargy;
  • drowsiness;
  • increased cough (short-term) in patients with chronic bronchitis;
  • and for skin dermatitis, a slight increase in rashes.

Ruzam instructions

Unlike other drugs, the instructions for use of Ruzam do not recommend stopping it if such reactions occur. Such manifestations, on the contrary, indicate positive dynamics. Typically, side effects are mild and do not require adjustment of the dosage system.

In isolated cases, when the symptoms described above are clearly manifested, it is necessary to consult a doctor who can select effective medications. These can be antibacterial or antihistamine drugs, the action of which neutralizes the side symptoms of the drug "Ruzam".

After completing the course of therapy, the patients’ well-being improves significantly, and side symptoms disappear.

Contraindications

Ruzam should in no case be considered a universal drug against any allergic disease. Like other medications, it has contraindications for use.

Ruzam - instructions for use for children
The drug is contraindicated during pregnancy

Subcutaneous injections are strictly not recommended in the following cases:

  1. All trimesters of pregnancy.
  2. Breastfeeding period.
  3. Acute form of tuberculosis.
  4. Infectious diseases during exacerbation.
  5. Individual sensitivity to components.

The pharmacological agent is not used in the treatment of children under 4 years of age. Also, injections are strictly contraindicated during periods of exacerbation of various infectious diseases. The use of the drug is allowed only 4–5 weeks after illness.

Ruzam - instructions for use for children

It has not been established that Ruzam has any effect on the simultaneous use of other pharmacological drugs. It can be combined with antibiotics, hormonal agents, and other antihistamines. Ruzam does not affect the absorption and effectiveness of other drugs.

It does not have a negative impact on a person’s ability to drive vehicles, complex production mechanisms, or engage in other activities that require increased concentration.

Attention! The solution must be used once - if there is medicine left in the ampoule after the injection, it should not be used.

Use of drugs during pregnancy and lactation

For expectant mothers, using the medicine throughout pregnancy is strictly prohibited, since the effect of an extract from a strain of Staphylococcus aureus on the fetus has not been studied.

The drug is also not prescribed during lactation, because the active substance enters the newborn’s body with mother’s milk and can cause a number of dangerous reactions. In situations where it is not possible to replace the medicine with another, women are advised to stop breastfeeding and only then begin therapy.

Analogues and cost of the drug Ruzam

At the moment, Ruzam is considered a drug with a unique mechanism of action, so there are no structural analogues of this medication.

The cost of Ruzam is quite high; a box of five 0.2 ml ampoules costs approximately $25.

Many patients have already experienced the effects of the drug Ruzam, because all people suffering from this disease want to get rid of allergies.

Some of those who underwent treatment were satisfied with the result, others did not identify certain advantages of the medication.

Anna, 43 years old.

Bronchial asthma has been accompanying me for more than 10 years, and attacks become more frequent in the spring.

My pulmonologist advised me to put Ruzam three years ago and now I resort to this remedy every year. I start the course around January and finish it by spring.

Naturally, I cannot completely eliminate all the symptoms of my illness, but I am pleased with the absence of severe suffocation and almost always feel quite good.

Katya, 25 years old.

Ruzam helped me reduce the symptoms of hay fever. I completed one course, but for the second I couldn’t get the medicine. I was afraid to order online.

Anatoly, 32 years old.

Ruza was discharged from recurrent urticaria. The drug did not help at all and the reason for this is that they incorrectly determined what caused the spots on my body.

A visit to another doctor allowed me to find an effective drug. And I feel so sorry for wasting money on Ruzam.

Masha, 29 years old.

I took Ruzam on the advice of a friend and thereby provoked the development of certain disorders in my body, so I had to stay in the hospital.

The doctor scolded me, and after the examination she prescribed a completely different drug. Given my illness, Ruzam could only do harm.

Andrey, 37 years old.

Only Ruzam helped me with allergic rhinitis. I experienced attacks of sneezing and nasal congestion in response to dust and various plants.

I’ve been piercing my ruza twice a year for five years, and so far I’m quite happy with the results.

Marina, 45 years old.

My daughter was prescribed Ruza for bronchial asthma. Honestly, after the first two injections I wanted to refuse, as the cough got worse and the weakness got worse.

But the doctor explained that this happens and advised not to interrupt the treatment.

Three months have passed since we administered the first 10 injections of the drug, and now I want to say that there are positive results, and my daughter’s mood has also improved.

Alena, 34 years old.

Ruzam specifically did not help me at all with my asthma. But a friend from the hospital allowed me to almost completely get rid of attacks.

Anna Petrovna, 53 years old.

They prescribed Ruzam for contact dermatitis, the drug did not help at all, moreover, all the skin changes only intensified. Now, as before, I save myself with hormonal ointments.

Olga, 28 years old.

Every spring and almost all summer, my son literally suffered from rhinitis. His cough and nasal congestion did not allow him to play outside for a long time.

A wide variety of drugs were used for treatment, but it became easier only after a course of Ruzam.

At the beginning of next year I want to re-treat the child.

Larisa, 37 years old.

I put one course on Ruzam, and I couldn’t believe how easily I got through this spring and summer. There was virtually no sneezing, no nasal congestion, and no discharge. I am pleased.

Interaction of Ruzam with other drugs and special requirements for use

Due to the recent appearance of Ruzam in the pharmaceutical field, no negative interactions of other drugs with it were detected. Along with taking it, antibiotics, antihistamines and glucocorticosteroid medications can be safely prescribed. Since the drug was recently introduced for treatment, there are no analogues in the world. Ruzam does not have any special requirements for use, so it can be safely taken while driving, during severe physical exertion and during heavy mental activity.

Despite such a short period of use of Ruzam as a medicinal product, it received a lot of positive feedback not only from specialists, but also from patients. Thanks to its formula, it has enabled many people to once again experience all the joys of life that they were forced to give up during allergies.

Structural analogues of the product

The composition of the drug “Ruzam” is unique, since it is based on an extract of one of the strains of Staphylococcus aureus. Therefore, the drug has no structural analogues in the form of a solution.

The only medicine based on an identical active ingredient is Ruzam cream. The instructions for use recommend using it as a prophylactic for skin care for people prone to allergies. The cream softens the skin and strengthens the cellular immune system, which increases the resistance of the epidermis to various infections and allergic reactions.

How does Ruzam work?

Ruzam (Latin name - Ruzam) is a drug belonging to the group of antiallergic drugs. Its active component, penetrating inside the body, reduces the severity of allergy and inflammation symptoms by reducing the amount of:

  • eosinophilic granulocytes (special leukocytes that suppress the development of allergies, which in some cases can, on the contrary, cause a violent allergic reaction);
  • mast cells (cells that provoke the development of the inflammatory process by releasing histamine under the influence of allergens).

After using Ruzam, swelling of the skin and tissues decreases, and the concentration of allergic-type inflammatory markers in the blood decreases. Additionally, the product stimulates the production of immunoglobulin type A. This helps to increase humoral immunity, which protects the body from pathogens.

Advantageous features of the medicine

In addition to the pronounced antiallergic effect of Ruzam, the instructions describe its anti-inflammatory properties. They are achieved by increasing the content of secretory immunoglobulin A class in the mucous membranes. As a result, their resistance to various infections increases significantly.

After just one injection, the test results of patients clearly demonstrate an active decrease in the indicators of the allergic inflammatory process. Doctors also note a reduction in the level of immunoglobulin E class and the amount of nitric oxide in exhaled air.

Indications and contraindications

Ruzam is prescribed for a number of diseases, and the dosage of the injection is calculated individually, in accordance with the instructions.

Depending on the calculated dosage, the price for the full course of treatment also varies. According to the instructions, the drug is effective for:

  • food allergies,
  • rhinitis,
  • hay fever,
  • dermatitis,
  • insect bites,
  • reactions to medications.

A number of indications indicated in the instructions also include urticaria, antioneurotic edema, and bronchial asthma. In addition, the medicine Ruzam can be prescribed by a doctor for other similar diseases that are of an allergic nature.

The instructions indicate that Ruzam injections against allergies cannot be given if the patient has recently been vaccinated, he has been diagnosed with the development of a viral or chronic disease, and due to the disease, asthmatic attacks occur, during which the exhalation rate is significantly (up to 80%) reduced.

Patient reviews

The opinions of patients about the unique drug “Ruzam” are quite contradictory. Some patients claim that they forgot about allergies after just one course of therapy, others are dissatisfied with the result even after several years of treatment with the medicine.

And although the instructions for use accompanying the drug “Ruzam” do not publish reviews, it is worth saying that 90% of patients still experience positive dynamics. Even patients who are not very happy with the drug say this. Seasonal manifestations of allergies are much easier for them, and the frequency of asthma attacks is also reduced.

But the results of the surveyed patients cannot serve as a guide to action and are based solely on the individual feelings of each of them. Therefore, if a doctor recommends a course of therapy with Ruzam, each patient has the right to decide whether to agree to therapy or not.

Description and instructions for the drug Ruzam

Ruzam is an antiallergic drug that does not belong to the antihistamine group. It contains staphylococcus (thermophilic) extract. It contains substances that enhance the immune response. Thus, treatment with Ruzam helps relieve inflammation and reduce the severity of allergic reactions. Swelling goes away, the resistance of the integumentary tissues (skin, mucous membranes) to the action of damaging factors (allergens, infections) increases.

Ruzam is used for:

  • Allergic rhinitis;
  • Other allergic pathologies, for example, Quincke's edema, urticaria, and so on;
  • Bronchial asthma;
  • Dermatitis – contact, atopic, and so on;
  • Exposure to frequent respiratory diseases;

Ruzam is produced in the form of a solution for subcutaneous administration. It is usually administered once a week. Children of different ages are prescribed different doses. The instructions for the drug Ruzam indicate that such a course can last up to ten weeks. If we are talking about the treatment of seasonal allergies, treatment should be carried out one and a half to two months before the expected onset of an exacerbation (for example, before the allergenic plant blooms). To improve health in case of frequent diseases of the respiratory system, preventive courses of Ruzam are carried out in the autumn-spring period.

Ruzam is contraindicated for:

  • Tuberculosis in open form;
  • Severe diseases of internal organs;
  • Acute infection;
  • Pregnancy and lactation;
  • Treatment of children under four years of age;

- with caution when -

Chronic infectious diseases;

Side effects of Ruzam

When you start using this medicine, your symptoms of your current illness may worsen. For example, cough or allergic rashes. The temperature may rise to low-grade levels. Usually, these phenomena do not bother the patient much, do not require additional therapy and go away on their own.

Indications for use

An antiallergic drug is prescribed for the following diseases:

  • allergic rhinitis (seasonal and year-round form);
  • generalized and recurrent urticaria;
  • bronchial asthma;
  • hay fever;
  • atopic dermatitis;
  • allergic reactions that occur when stung by a bee or wasp;
  • drug, latex and food allergies.

The biologically active agent should not be used for the following diseases and conditions:

  • active form of tuberculosis;
  • excessive sensitivity to the ingredients of the medicinal solution;
  • patient age up to four years;
  • breastfeeding period;
  • decompensated pathologies of internal organs;
  • pregnancy.

Time restrictions for injections of the drug Ruzam:

  • asthmatic attacks, a decrease in peak expiratory flow below 80% of the optimal value;
  • relapse of a chronic disease or development of acute respiratory viral infection;
  • vaccination.

Recommendations:

  • injections of a new generation antiallergic drug are prescribed by a doctor: the drug is not sold in pharmacies without a prescription;
  • Children over 12 years of age and adult patients receive 1 injection per week, dosage – 0.2 ml. Duration of therapy – 5–10 weeks;
  • for children aged 4 to 6 years, the course of therapy is shorter - from 6 to 8 injections, dosage - half the adult norm (0.1 ml);
  • At least five days must pass between injections, the maximum interval to maintain the therapeutic effect is 20 days;
  • if you are sensitive to the pollen of some plants, injections of the drug Ruzam are given 1–2 months before the start of the dangerous season with the obligatory continuation of the course during the flowering of allergenic plants;
  • in severe cases of the disease, it is allowed to combine a unique remedy with traditional antihistamines and steroid compounds;
  • if there is a high risk of colds, if the patient often suffers from acute respiratory viral infections, for prevention, doctors prescribe Ruza injections in the spring and autumn, during periods of greatest decline in immunity;
  • The duration of treatment is determined by the doctor. Previous therapy does not affect the purpose and nature of use of the new allergy medicine;
  • in the absence of seasonal exacerbations, you need to take 2 or more courses of Ruzam. Interval – 3 months. With this treatment regimen, the greatest antiallergic effect is noticeable.

Negative reactions to a drug with a unique formula appear in isolated cases. Children and adults tolerate Ruzam injections well; after applying antiallergic cream, negative reactions also rarely occur.

Possible side effects:

  • weakness;
  • increase in subfertile temperature;
  • increased cough;
  • increase in the volume of rashes.

On a note! In most patients, negative symptoms resolve over time and symptomatic treatment is rarely required. Cases of overdose have not been described; even multiple excesses of the norm did not lead to severe adverse reactions.

Medicine dosing system

This medication is used exclusively for subcutaneous injections. The recommended single dose for adult patients and children over 6 years of age is 0.2 ml. The interval between injections is 7 days. The duration of therapy is prescribed individually and varies from 5 to 10 weeks.

Ruzam 0.2ml instructions for use

As for the youngest group of patients, from 4 to 6 years old, who are prescribed the drug "Ruzam", the instructions for use for children limit them to a single dosage of 0.1 ml. The treatment regimen for small patients is identical to the recommendations for adult patients - the injection should be given once a week.

The decision on the need for repeated courses of treatment rests with the attending physician. If necessary, the patient can undergo 4 courses of therapy per calendar year. With severe seasonal hay fever, patients are recommended to undergo treatment 6-8 weeks before the onset of the allergen. For children who often suffer from seasonal respiratory infections, pediatricians prescribe 2 courses per year. It is advisable to carry them out in autumn and spring.

Evaluation of doctors and patients

My medical practice, which is more than 15 years, has shown that Ruzam is able to significantly reduce the manifestations of seasonal allergies. Many patients report significant relief from the second week of the course.

At the same time, those who have individual sensitivity to its individual components should approach the use of this product with caution.

Alexey Ivchenkov, allergist

For me, the main advantage of Ruzam is that this drug is a non-hormonal drug with a pronounced effect. With his help I got rid of my atopic dermatitis. The course of treatment lasted two months, during which I went to the clinic for an injection once a week. To achieve the full effect of the cure, I had to undergo three two-month courses of treatment with this drug, after which I felt real relief from getting rid of my problem. Now my skin has regained its healthy appearance and I am no longer bothered by constant itching. Of course, my disease is recurrent, so it is impossible to cure it completely, but thanks to Ruzam, I have been in stable remission for almost three years. Maria, 45 years old

I have suffered from allergies since childhood. After I unsuccessfully tried a bunch of different medications while self-medicating, I finally decided to go to an allergist. The doctor prescribed me an appointment with Ruzam. At first, I really began to notice some improvement in my condition. When I repeated the course, I no longer observed any particular positive effect. The same can be said about the third one. For this reason, I had to stop using Ruzam due to the fact that this drug works extremely poorly for me.

According to patient observations, taking Ruzam does not make contact with plant pollen safe. For this reason, you should be very careful during the period of active flowering of plants and keep traditional antihistamines with you.

It is also important to be under close medical supervision when taking a course of Ruzam in case of chronic inflammatory kidney diseases, since sometimes patients note a deterioration in the condition of these organs

The main advantage of this drug is its effectiveness with rare injections. Also, its advantages often include the fact that it is not a hormonal agent.

As for the disadvantages of Ruzam, they include a fairly extensive list of side effects, although they appear quite rarely. Often, while taking this drug, there is an increase in body temperature and, as a result, chills, accompanied by a headache. Also, many are not satisfied with the relatively high cost of this drug in comparison with other antiallergic pharmacological agents.

Cream Ruzam application features

The drug is applied to the skin in a thin layer once a day for prophylactic purposes. If the first signs of infection or a characteristic allergic rash have already appeared on the skin, it is recommended to double the daily dose. That is, the cream must be applied to the affected areas in the morning and before bed. The duration of treatment is completely individual, and should only be determined by an experienced doctor.
