Sebidin has an antimicrobial, antiseptic effect, destroys viral cell membranes, and has a bactericidal effect. Eliminates plaque.

Mechanism of action
The antibacterial effect of chlorhexidine is caused by its nonspecific binding to phospholipids of bacterial cell membranes. It inhibits the activity of dehydrogenase and ATPase within bacterial cell membranes and disrupts the permeability of the membrane to potassium ions, nucleotides and amino acids.
