100 ml of IRS 19 contains 43.27 ml of a mixture of lysates of the following bacteria: Klebsiella pneumonia, Streptococcus pneumoniae (types 1, 2, 3, 4), Acinetobacter calcoaceticus, Streptococcus pneumoniae (types 2, 3, 5, 8, 12) , Streptococcus pyogenes A-group, Haemophilus influenzae B-type, Staphylococcus aureus, Moraxella catarrhalis, Enterococcus faecalis, Neisseria subflava and perflava, Streptococcus dysgalactiae C-group, Enterococcus faecium, Streptococcus G-group.
Additional substances: sodium merthiolate, glycine, water, nerol-based flavoring.
Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics
An immunostimulating drug based on bacterial lysates. Strengthens specific and nonspecific types of immunity .
When spraying the medicine, an aerosol is formed that envelops the nasal mucosa, which leads to the active development of a local immune response. This protection is due to locally formed antibodies such as secretory immunoglobulins A , which prevent the strengthening and reproduction of pathogens on the surface of the mucosa.
Nonspecific protection manifests itself in increased phagocytic activity of macrophage cells and increased lysozyme content.
Analogue
The closest systemic analogue is Imudon, which is also based on bacterial lysates. Its only release form is tablets for oral use. In addition to the main component, Imudon contains excipients: magnesium stearate, lactose, glycine, povidone. The advantage of the medicine is that it is approved for children over 3 years of age.
