Contraindications

The mixture prepared on the basis of the drug Nutrizon is strictly contraindicated for use in the following cases:

  • the patient has a history of concomitant disease in the form of galactosemia;
  • based on the results of a diagnostic examination of the patient, complete obstruction of the gastrointestinal tract was established, which is of mechanical origin (in this case, it will be necessary to remove obstacles that exclude the provision of a nutritional mixture, and only then begin feeding the patient);
  • the patient's age is less than 1 year (the drug Nutrizon is not used for newborns);
  • individual intolerance to the constituent components of the nutritional mixture, which is expressed in the form of an allergic reaction.

Nutrizon dry mixture is used with extreme caution for enteral feeding of children aged 1 to 6 years.

Patients in this category should be under constant supervision by medical personnel. The Nutrizon dry mixture contains lactose, but its concentration is so low that this drug is approved for use by patients with individual intolerance to this substance.

Instructions, dosage

Nutrizon is a dry mixture for enteral nutrition, the practical use of which requires a number of actions.

Instructions for preparing this product are as follows:

  1. You should wash your hands thoroughly using soap and warm water. They should then be dried with a dry and clean towel.

  2. The containers in which the dry mixture will be dissolved must be thoroughly sterilized in boiling water. The recommended duration of the disinfection process should be at least 5 minutes.
  3. Boil the amount of water required to prepare 1 serving of dietary food for a patient of a particular age.
  4. Boiled water should be cooled to room temperature. It is strictly forbidden to use very hot water, as this can lead to loss of the nutritional properties of the drug.
  5. You need to open a jar of dry mixture, take a measuring boat, and then add the required amount of product to previously prepared boiled water.
  6. At this stage, stir the dry mixture until it is completely dissolved. The finished product should show no signs of lump formation or the presence of undissolved crystals.
  7. It is strictly forbidden to add any medications or dietary supplements to the already prepared Nutrizon nutritional mixture, because this can lead to negative drug interactions between their constituent components.
  8. The Nutrizon liquid mixture, which has cooled down greatly during its preparation, should be warmed up to room temperature. This will speed up the process of absorption of nutrients into the walls of the gastrointestinal tract.
  9. The process of consuming the mixture should begin immediately after its preparation is completed.
  10. The duration of consumption of the drug through a tube or orally should be no more than 4 hours. During all this time, liquid nutrition should be kept at room temperature. Strong cooling or overheating of the mixture is not allowed.
  11. Remains of enteral nutrition that have not been consumed by the patient should be disposed of immediately. It is prohibited to store the mixture in the refrigerator with its further heating before the next meal.

To prepare isocaloric nutrition using the standard method of diluting the dry mixture, you need to add 5 scoops of the drug Nutrizon to 85 ml of boiled water at room temperature. By completing these steps, you will be able to obtain 100 g of the nutrient mixture.

In this case, 1 ml of the finished product will contain at least 1 kcal, and the resulting mixture will be characterized by an average level of nutritional value and a balanced composition. To prepare 200 g of liquid mixture, you will need to dissolve 10 scoops of Nutrizon in 170 ml of boiled water.

For 500 g of nutritional product, you will need to use 25 scoops of nutritional product in 425 ml of water. In order to make 1000 g of liquid mixture, you need to dissolve 50 measuring spoons of the drug in 850 ml of boiled water.

The process of preparing enhanced hypercaloric nutrition, 1 ml of which contains at least 1.5 kcal, requires the following proportions:

  • per 100 g of finished product - 7.5 measuring spoons, dissolved in 77.5 ml of boiled water;
  • for 200 g of finished product - 15 measuring spoons dissolved in 155 ml of boiled water;
  • for 500 g of finished product - 38 measuring spoons, dissolved in 387 ml of boiled water;
  • per 1000 g of finished product - the entire contents of the jar, dissolved in 775 ml of boiled water.

Regardless of how much mixture you need to prepare for a particular patient, you should always use a measuring spoon. It is strictly forbidden to use other types of measuring instruments, as this may lead to violation of the dosage rules for this drug.

The preparation of hypercaloric nutrition is indicated for patients with signs of severe exhaustion of the body, when there is an acute deficiency of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, severe dystrophy of skeletal muscles, and lack of full motility of the gastrointestinal tract.

Directions for use and dosage:

Dilute immediately before use. Use only drinking boiled water. Use the prepared mixture at room temperature or heated (not higher than 38° C). Do not add medications or other substances to the mixture. Rinse the probe and change the injection system every four hours. Close the opened jar tightly with a plastic lid immediately after use. The daily amount, type of dilution, method and speed of food administration are determined by the doctor. Approximately, an adult requires 0.7-2 cans of Nutridrink Advance Nutrizon per day in the case of a single source of food. The recommended rate of tube administration is 0.25-1.5 ml/kg/hour, depending on the functional state of the gastrointestinal tract. Detailed instructions for Nutridrink Advance Nutrizon are included with the product.

Can be used orally as a drink, slowly, in small sips, or added to cooked food, such as porridge, cottage cheese, soup.

Attention! Do not boil the finished mixture!

When interacting with drugs, clotting in the digestive tract is possible.

The drug should be inaccessible to children of all age groups.

special instructions

Nutrizon dry mixture is intended for enteral use only. The use of this product for parenteral administration is strictly prohibited.

The use of the prepared Nutrizon mixture should be carried out under the supervision of the attending physician or junior medical personnel, whose responsibilities include caring for patients receiving nutrition with artificial mixtures. Particular attention is paid to patients with severe disorders of chewing and swallowing, who receive this drug exclusively through a tube.

Before using the dietary product Nutrizon, it is necessary to undergo a comprehensive examination of the body with further consultation with a general practitioner, gastroenterologist, endocrinologist, or surgeon (if the patient is preparing for surgery or is recovering after it).

This drug is used with extreme caution in children aged 3 to 6 years. The dosage of the dry mixture is selected individually, taking into account the tolerance and age needs of each patient.

Increased precautions are explained by the fact that the Nutrizon product contains a high concentration of protein, the excess of which creates a serious burden on the organs of the excretory and digestive systems of young children.
