Mastodinon is a homeopathic medicine, but despite this, it is widely used in the treatment of women suffering from menstrual irregularities, breast diseases and premenstrual syndrome. The main release options for Mastodinon are tablets and drops for oral administration. The drug exerts its effect thanks to its constituent substances of natural origin. These active components are obtained from Angus castus, Caulophyllum thalictroides, Cyclamen, Ignatia, Iris, Lilium tigrinum. Mastodinon also contains ethanol (47–53 vol.%), and therefore, its use in the treatment of persons who have undergone a course of anti-alcohol therapy is not recommended. Release form

The manufacturer produces the medicine in the form:

The solution for internal use is an aromatic, slightly yellowish, transparent liquid. Its taste is initially sweetish, then changes to pungent and bitter.

Thus, in the Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk, Rivne and Transcarpathian regions, the prevailing contribution - more than 45% - in the total brand sales in physical terms is provided by the dosage form MASTODINON® oral drops, 50 ml bottle (Fig. 6), while in for the market as a whole, this figure is 30.8%. In this matter, one should take into account such indicators as the minimum, average and maximum number of sold packages of the MASTODINON® brand during the period of seasonal demand at retail outlets (PP) with different financial and territorial characteristics. To carry out the analysis, PTs - pharmacies, pharmacy points and kiosks - were grouped according to this criterion, based on the volume of monthly revenue and territorial location in November 2011. The maximum number of packages sold differs significantly by region of Ukraine. For example, in the Eastern region this figure reaches 40 packages, while in the Western region it is only 11. In Kyiv, the Central and Southern regions, approximately similar indicators are noted - 16, 19 and 20 packages, respectively.

The maximum number of packages of the drug MASTODINON® is sold in pharmacies, then at points and kiosks. That is, the stock of this medicine in pharmacies should be greater than in other pharmacies. The territorial location of the TT should also be taken into account. In the market as a whole, the average number of sold packages of MASTODINON in one TT is 2 packages per month, in the Eastern region this figure is slightly higher - 3. For the Southern region, a peculiarity was noted - the average number of packages sold in pharmacies is higher than in pharmacies.

In pharmacies, the minimum number of sold packages of MASTODINON in various dosage forms during the analyzed period is 1. At the same time, the range of the average number of sold packages of MASTODINON® tablets, blister, No. 60 is from 1 to 9; MASTODINON® oral drops, 100 ml bottle - from 1 to 5; MASTODINON® oral drops, 50 ml bottle - from 1 to 4.

The sales volume of MASTODINON is distributed unevenly, as indicated by the minimum and maximum number of packages sold in different TT groups. Based on the results of November 2011, in TT with a profit of 100–200 thousand UAH. one of the pharmacies sold 1 package of MASTODINON, while the other sold 16 packages (Fig. 7). Therefore, let us assume that TT with identical financial characteristics is capable of selling at least 10 packages of the drug in this dosage form per month. Consequently, commodity purchases of the drug must be planned in the interval between the average and maximum sales volumes of MASTODINON in one TT, taking into account its financial characteristics.

In general, the average and maximum number of drug packages sold increases with the increase in TT’s monthly revenue. But there are also some differences. So, if the maximum number of sold packages of MASTODINON® tablets, blister, No. 60 and MASTODINON® oral drops, 50 ml bottle increases with the increase in the volume of monthly TT revenue, then for the third dosage form - MASTODINON® oral drops, 100 ml bottle the situation is somewhat different. The maximum number of packages of this dosage form was sold in the TT group with a relatively low profit of 100–250 thousand UAH, which exceeded the figure in groups with a higher turnover - over 250 thousand. It can be assumed that in the TT with a profit of over 250 thousand UAH . there was an insufficient stock of MASTODINON oral drops, 100 ml bottle, and the pharmacy received less profit from the sale of this drug. Let us remember that sales of this dosage form as a whole for the brand accumulate more than a third in money and about a quarter in packages.

Side effects of Mastodinon
