Indinol: instructions for use, reviews of women and doctors

Release form and composition

The drug is available in the form of hard gelatin capsules of two types:

  • Indinol (10 pcs. in a blister, 3 blisters per package; 60, 90 or 120 pcs. in polymer bottles);
  • Indinol Forto (20 pcs. in a blister, 3 or 6 blisters per package; 60, 90 or 120 pcs. in polymer bottles).

The active component is indole-3-carbinol, a substance obtained by extraction from cruciferous plants. Indinol contains 100 mg (the package says “300 mg”, but 300 means the total weight of the capsule, not the content of the active substance), and Indinol Forto contains 200 mg.

Additional components: modified corn starch, lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate.

Pharmacokinetics

Indinol Forto belongs to the pharmacological group of non-toxic drugs. The medication is taken orally, and the dissolution of the capsule with the release of the active substance occurs in the large intestine.

The constituent components of the drug penetrate the bloodstream, along with which they enter the tissues of the reproductive system and endocrine glands.

The final stage of metabolic breakdown of the drug components occurs in the liver. About 95% of the components of the drug are excreted by the kidneys along with urine. The remaining metabolites are eliminated from the body as part of the feces.

Indications for use

Indinol is a drug intended for pathogenetic and anti-relapse therapy of hyperplastic processes in breast tissue and other estrogen-dependent organs. As a source of indole-3-carbinol, Indinol normalizes estrogen levels and suppresses their negative stimulating effect, blocks other hormone-independent mechanisms that activate pathological cellular growth in the tissues of the mammary gland and uterus, causes selective death of cells with abnormally high proliferative activity, stimulates the development of healthy cells .

Due to these properties of indole-3-carbinol, Indinol is used for:

  • Treatment of cyclic mastalgia, including benign mammary hyperplasia;
  • Treatment and prevention of fibrocystic mastopathy;
  • Correction of functional disorders in the mammary gland caused by mastopathy.

As part of complex therapy, the dietary supplement is recommended to be taken for diseases of the genital area in women caused by the human papillomavirus, including intraepithelial cervical neoplasia and anogenital condylomatosis.

In combination with Epigallate, Indinol is prescribed for uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia (without atypia), endometriosis, as well as for the prevention of relapse of these diseases after their surgical treatment.

Indinol in combination with Epigallate

Currently, an innovative technique is being used that increases the effectiveness of fibroid treatment. To do this, Indinol will be used in combination with Epigallate, which is also a non-hormonal agent. The action of this complex is based on the suppression of tumor cell division processes, which stops its further growth.

combined use of drugs
Acting on already formed fibroids, the drug prevents the formation of new blood vessels in it. Insufficient supply of oxygen and nutrients to degenerative cells slows down their development and division, they cease their vital functions, often with the complete disappearance of the nodes. Complex treatment with these drugs is not accompanied by side effects, and its use in cases where the stage of fibroids allows you to get rid of the tumor only through surgery, this method eliminates the possibility of relapse in the form of the formation of new tumor foci.

Directions for use and dosage

The dietary supplement should be taken with meals. As a rule, 200 mg of indole-3-carbinol (2 capsules of Indinol or 1 capsule of Indinol Forto) is prescribed twice a day.

The course of treatment for fibrocystic mastopathy is 6 months.

For genital diseases associated with human papillomavirus, Indinol (at the same dose) is prescribed in combination with immunomodulators. Both sexual partners should undergo treatment. Duration of treatment is 3-6 months.

For uterine fibroids, adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia without atypia, endometriosis, Indinol (in a similar dosage) is prescribed in combination with Epigallate (also 2 capsules twice a day). The drug should be taken for medicinal purposes for 6 months, to prevent relapses - for 3 months.
