pharmachologic effect

Vasodilating agent.

Naftidrofuril has a vasodilating effect, resulting in improved peripheral and cerebral circulation. Causes a decrease in peripheral vascular resistance and increases cardiac output without significantly affecting heart rate and blood pressure. The vasodilating effect of naftidrofuryl is the result of its selective action on 5HT2 receptors in platelets and the smooth muscle layer of blood vessels. As a result of vasodilation caused by the action of naftidrofuryl, there is an improvement in microcirculation in peripheral tissues, the brain and the retina of the eye.

Has an M-anticholinergic effect. Under ischemic conditions, naftidrofuryl causes a decrease in anaerobic metabolism, which leads to an increase in the concentration of adenosiptriphosphate and a decrease in the lactate-pyruvate coefficient. As a result, the resistance of cells (including the brain) to hypoxia increases. The drug improves cognitive function of the brain, reduces episodes of dizziness and headaches, and induces improved sleep. Naftidrofuryl improves blood rheology by inhibiting platelet aggregation and increasing the elastic properties of red blood cells.

What is important to remember when taking

Duzopharm is used to improve blood circulation in diseases and pathological conditions of the brain, muscles, and cardiovascular system, and is available with a doctor’s prescription. It can be used in combination with other drugs, but when introducing it into the course, it is necessary to take into account the peculiarities of the combination. The medication has a relatively small number of contraindications and restrictions, complications and side effects. The advantage is that it can be used in treatment during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
