Instructions for use of the drug Cardonate caps. No. 20

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

The effect of the medicine is due to the characteristics of its components.

Carnitine is an anabolic . It is broken down in the liver, central nervous system and kidneys with the participation of iron and ascorbic acid. In plasma it is found in free form or in the form of acylcarnitine esters . It is the main regulator of fatty acid metabolism in the myocardium, liver and skeletal muscles. Helps in the release of toxins and metabolites , as well as in improving metabolic processes. With oxygen supply to cells at a normal level, it transfers metabolism to the oxidation of fatty acids, and under hypoxic conditions it removes their toxins from mitochondria, transferring metabolic processes to the oxidation of glucose, thus producing an antihypoxic effect .

Carnitine improves performance, increases muscle mass, reduces the effect of thyroid hormones , accelerates growth, promotes weight loss and normalizes metabolism in hyperthyroidism . It also reduces the symptoms of mental and physical fatigue, has an anti-ischemic effect , and normalizes the transmission of nerve impulses by activating the synthesis of choline , glutamic acid and acetylcholine . The product reduces the ammonia content in nerve tissues and has neuro- , cardio- and hepatoprotective effects . In addition, Carnitine affects the limitation of the infarct zone and increases cellular immunity . It eliminates problems associated with the functioning of the nervous system in people with chronic intoxication, prevents dystrophic changes in the retina, and mitigates the manifestations of withdrawal syndrome . Acts as an anti-ketogenic agent , reducing the production of ketone bodies from higher fatty acids.

Cobamamide is characterized by anabolic activity , takes part in the synthesis of labile methyl groups sulfhydryl groups in erythrocytes , has a positive effect on metabolic processes, the formation of choline , methionine , nucleic acids and creatine . It also improves bone marrow function, helps normalize the functioning of the nervous system and liver, activates the blood coagulation system, has an anti-ketogenic effect , and in high doses increases the activity of thromboplastin and prothrombin .

Pyridoxal 5-phosphate affects metabolism, as well as the functioning of the nervous system. It is a coenzyme of many enzymes that play an important role in non-oxidative amino acid . In addition, it is involved in the metabolic processes of tryptophan , cysteine , methionine , glutamic and other amino acids . histamine metabolism , increases the concentration of glycogen in the liver and normalizes its detoxifying properties, helps improve fat metabolism, and catabolizes neuromuscular processes.

Lysine is an important amino acid , which is a component of the processes of assimilation and growth, activates mitosis , acts as an antiviral agent against herpes , helps in ossification and growth of bone tissue, normalizes oogenesis and spermatogenesis .

Cocarboxylase affects metabolism. In addition, it reduces the content of lactic and pyruvic acids in the body, promotes the trophism of nerve tissue, increases the absorption of glucose, and has a cardioprotective effect .

CARDONAT – your recipe for vital energy

Metabolic therapy creates the prerequisites for significantly increasing the effectiveness of other medications, reducing the rehabilitation period after somatic, infectious diseases and surgical interventions, and improving the quality of life of patients. In this regard, the long-term adaptive effects manifested when using metabolic drugs, which include a number of amino acids and coenzyme forms of B vitamins, in the complex therapy of most diseases are very important.

CARDONATE produced by the Vinnitsa pharmaceutical enterprise "Sperko Ukraine" is an original preparation for internal use, containing a complex of amino acids and coenzyme forms of vitamins. One capsule of CARDONATE contains 100 mg of L-carnitine, 50 mg of lysine, 50 mg of cocarboxylase (coenzyme form of thiamine - vitamin B1), 50 mg of pyridoxal-5-phosphate (coenzyme form of pyridoxine - vitamin B6) and 1 mg of cobamamide (coenzyme form of cyanocobalamin - vitamin B12). The high metabolic potential of the coenzyme components of CARDONATE is due to their high biological activity, which, unlike prototypes (B vitamins), eliminates the need for previous biotransformation in liver cells. A successful combination of the medicinal properties of essential amino acids and coenzymes in one preparation contributes to the mutual potentiation of their medicinal effects.

Thus, L-carnitine, which is an anabolic agent, is involved in the regulation of fatty acid metabolism in the heart, liver and skeletal muscles, transports fatty acids into the mitochondria, where they are b-oxidized to acetyl-CoA, a substrate for the formation of ATP in the cycle Krebs. Promotes the release of metabolites and toxic substances from the cytoplasm of cells, improves metabolic processes, increases performance, appetite, is necessary for growth, promotes weight gain, reduces the functional activity of the thyroid gland, normalizes basal metabolism in hyperthyroidism. L-carnitine also reduces the effects of physical and mental stress, has neuro-, hepato- and cardioprotective, as well as hypocholesterolemic effects, inhibits atherogenesis, helps reduce the severity of symptoms of myocardial ischemia and limit the size of the infarct zone, stimulates cellular immunity, eliminates functional disorders of the nervous system in persons with chronic alcoholism and certain neurological diseases.

Lysine is an essential amino acid, takes part in the processes of assimilation and growth, promotes ossification and growth of bone tissue, stimulates cell mitosis, and is necessary for maintaining the normal function of the female reproductive system.

Cobamamide has anabolic activity, activates the metabolism of carbohydrates, proteins and lipids, participates in the synthesis of methyl groups, the formation of choline, methionine, nucleic acids, creatine, stimulates bone marrow function, providing normoblastic erythropoiesis, helps normalize impaired liver and nervous system functions, activates the coagulation system blood, in high doses increases the activity of thromboplastin and prothrombin.

Cocarboxylase has a regulating effect on metabolic processes in the body. It plays a particularly important role in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, reduces the level of lactic and pyruvic acids in tissues, improves the absorption of glucose, trophism of nervous tissue, and helps normalize the function of the cardiovascular system in cases of cardiac arrhythmias and angina.

Pyridoxal-5-phosphate plays an important role in metabolism and is necessary for the normal functioning of the central and peripheral nervous system. It is a coenzyme of a large number of enzymes acting on the non-oxidative metabolism of amino acids, helps normalize lipid metabolism, increases the amount of glycogen in the liver, improves its detoxification function, regulates the function of neuromuscular structures, which is especially important in children with delayed mental and physical development, chronic fatigue syndrome and asthenia .

Indications for use of CARDONATE:

disorders of carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism; retardation in mental and physical development in children (hypotrophy, anorexia, growth retardation, asthenia); physical and mental stress, including in athletes; decreased performance (muscular dystrophy, atony); anorexia in adults due to nervous and physical stress; coronary heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction - as part of combination therapy); chronic heart failure (as part of combination therapy); dyshormonal myocardial dystrophy with cardialgia; bronchial asthma and chronic bronchitis (as part of combination therapy); chronic alcoholism, including to relieve withdrawal symptoms; acute and chronic cerebrovascular accidents (stroke and chronic cerebral circulatory failure); encephalopathy; mild forms of hyperthyroidism; liver diseases (hepatitis, cirrhosis); liver and kidney failure (as part of combination therapy); peripheral neuritis, neuralgia, radiculitis; conditions requiring improvement of carbohydrate and fat metabolism; iron deficiency and B12 deficiency anemia (as part of combination therapy); toxicosis of pregnant women; asthenic syndrome, state of convalescence after somatic and infectious diseases, surgical interventions.

It should be emphasized that there are practically no contraindications to the use of CARDONATE, with the exception of the presence of malignant neoplasms and hypersensitivity to the components of the drug.

For adults and adolescents over 15 years of age, CARDONAT is prescribed 1 capsule 2-3 times a day before or after meals, for children aged 5-15 years - 1 capsule 2 times a day, for children aged 1 to 5 years - 1 capsule 1 time per day (the contents of the capsule must first be dissolved in any fruit juice or sweet water). The average duration of treatment is 3–4 weeks. The drug is easy to use and well tolerated by patients. Results of clinical trials of CARDONATE conducted in the Department of Atherosclerosis and Chronic IHD of the Institute of Cardiology named after. N.D. Strazhesko of the Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine (Lutai M.I., 2001), confirmed its high effectiveness and safety in the treatment of patients with chronic ischemic heart disease, in particular, with stable angina pectoris of class II–IV. In this category of patients, the drug caused a significant improvement in endothelium-dependent vasodilation, not associated with changes in hemodynamics, and significantly improved the quality of life.

Thus, the arsenal of metabolic agents available in Ukrainian pharmacies has been replenished with a new, highly effective, domestically produced over-the-counter drug based on essential amino acids and coenzyme forms of B vitamins. CARDONATE should rightfully take its rightful place in the practice of doctors of various specialties.
