Octothiamine (a derivative of vitamin B1 and a-lipoic acid) takes an active part in the metabolism of carbohydrates and fats and is necessary for the synthesis of nucleic acids. Potentiates the effect of acetylcholine, which is involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. Strengthens tissue respiration, improves oxygen supply to skin cells.
